  1. Stunning ! As my pal mC says “ you can’t beat a bit of whippet in them “ Cheers.
  2. Remember that video of the lad off here, Freddy the Frog, I think it was, throwing dogs out of a motor and running deer all over the place ? The ‘copter was above them all the time, videoing them and guiding the police vehicles in , and they never had a clue, didn’t hear or see it until they were surrounded ! LOL ! Cheers
  3. I worked and studied hard, took one or two risks in going abroad to live and work, way, way out of my comfort zone. It worked out well and I planned to retire at fifty, but at the request of my employers I waited until I was 51. Ive greatly enjoyed 21 years of retirement and at 72 years of age I’m still fit, healthy and active, and certainly not a burden on the NHS , ( yet) , or the Exchequer. I owe nothing and claim nothing and I could name plenty at half my age who should be way in front of the queue for Grebby’s euthanasia plan before me ! LOL ! Cheers.
  4. He was originally charged, and found guilty of murder and sentenced to life with a minimum of nine years . The charge was reduced to man slaughter on appeal on grounds of diminished responsibility, and his sentence was reduced to five years, of which he served three. An absolute disgrace, he should have been seen as a hero for defending himself and his home, in my opinion, but the establishment doesn’t want us to take the law into our own hands, which would be fair enough, if they meted it out fairly ! Cheers.
  5. It’s worth contacting them and making sure they have the right contact information. That’s how I found out I had won £100. Cheers.
  6. You’ll thank me when you’re older ! LOL ! Cheers.
  7. The complete and utter lack of punctuation in both Bangers and mC’s posts makes reading them akin to deciphering the most complex of codes ! But I feel they are both good lads at heart ! LOL ! Cheers.
  8. I’ve had £15 worth for 45 years. Had one result ; £100. Ive got two friends who put £30,000 each into Premium Bonds for a year and then withdrew them, they reckon the winnings were 50% more than the interest they would have got if they had put the money in the bank ! Cheers.
  9. Crude oil, mate; That took some cleaning ! Cheers.
  10. Maltby was closed for a while but I think is back on now. Cheers.
  11. But you said there IS a cure for cancer but “they” are keeping it secret. So, I’ll ask again; Are the millions of people around the world in on the conspiracy, or are they just duped ? Also, are charities like McMillans, Marie Curies, Cancer Research and all the others in on the conspiracy? Cheers.
  12. Francie, do you think the millions of people around the world working on finding a cure for cancer are in on the conspiracy or just dupes ! Cheers.
  13. C’mon mate ! I was going to write a considered reply, but I can’t believe anyone would be stupid enough to paint a cruise missile in American Airlines livery and let photos be taken in the hope of fooling people ! Lok at the size of it compared to the ground handler and the transporter ! It would never be recognised on radar as a commercial aircraft ! Complete nonsense . Cheers.
  14. Yes mate. I’m a great believer in air safety and have probably more air miles under my belt than most, but even I am starting to look more closely at the amount of recent air disasters. I’ll still err on the side of coincidence than conspiracy until convinced otherwise. Cheets.
  15. Covid conspiracies are so yesterday Francie mate ! Aircraft crashes are the new go to conspiracies ! LOL ! Cheers.
  16. I hope the “Statute of Limitations “ has passed, but many years ago Sunderland Greyhound track had a whippet time trial open with bookies in attendance. Anyhow, my pal had a decent black 20” whippet called Silly Rocket and I had a good scratch racing 24” whippet called Pot Black. The Rocket was put in the time trial and was given a mark of scratch. Then Pot Black was swapped for the actual race and walked it ! I think it was priced at 7/2 and we put everything we had on it, collected our winnings and made the break back north as fast as the old Viva van would go ! Beating the
  17. Just checked, it’s still going, I’m pleasantly supprised, but as you can see, it’s over 50 years since I raced there . Cheers.
  18. The whippet bend opens we’re held at those tracks aswell, so it affects whippet racing as well as greyhound racing. Cheers.
  19. There were lots of flapping tracks in this area years ago. An entry into my diary from 1972; Pelaw Grange and Stanley Greyhound tracks; Cheers.
  20. I actually did live next door to his grandad, Archie ! LOL ! Cheers.
  21. Yes, Sunderland dogs still operates, but I rarely travel south of the river these days; Sunderland Greyhounds WWW.SUNDERLAND-GREYHOUNDS.CO.UK Sunderland Greyhounds is a busy greyhound stadium which races 4 times a week, as well as hosting events and... If Katchy and his son want a night at the dogs, Brough Park is just a few miles from me. Cheers.
  22. I think there was one eye on Wednesday night, mate. My neighbour John Anderson, ex player, was commentating on BBC Newcastle and he was brutally honest; Fulham were the better team, simple as that. Cheers.
  23. I think Brough Park in Newcastle is the only one left mate. Camois was only a training track and had the odd whippet open last time I was there, but I think it’s now closed down. If you want to go to Brough Park, and it’s still going, PM me and I’ll have a night there with you and the lad . Cheers.
  24. Not one of mine, a friend I had out for a run some years back. Cheers.
  25. Of course a bull cross can catch a hare; but that doesn’t necessarily make it a “hare dog”. Cheers.
