  1. Stunning little thing that mate, whats her hieght She's 23" and runs at a fit 38-40 lb. Cheers.
  2. My little bitch,Delta; Beddy/Grey X Deer/Grey/Whippet.... Not a lot of Deer in her, but an absolute class allrounder ! Cheers.
  3. Well; I'll probably be slagged for putting this pic up AGAIN !! LOL !! But I think it is a classic pic of a Deer/Grey; Cheers.
  4. Dekaw, that's a beautiful dog, and no disrespect, but I doubt it is a Deer/Grey.... looks like theres maybe Beddy in it ?? Cheers.
  5. If you realy want one and want the best, then be prepared to travel !! Do your homework, and don't believe everyone who says they have "genuine first crosses" !! Good luck ! Cheers.
  6. HID isn't worth the bother, or the price !! A Blitz 240 will give you all the light you need for anything in this country ! HID takes time to fire up to full brightness, and the one time I was out with one, I didn;t like the "blue" beam it threw, and even the guy that was using it thought it was no better than the Blitz, even though it cost far more !! This is only my opinion, but it's a lot of money to end up disapointed !! Cheers.
  7. She wasn't bred or brought in for lamping rabbits; but I had her out the other night and to see a 29" Deer/Grey bitch run down the beam, scoop up a rabbit and run straight back to hand with it, filled me with pride, even at my age !! LOL !! Cheers.
  8. Lima; 1st X Deer/Grey, 2 year old, 29", 75lb; Cheers.
  9. just because you'v been in the game the longest doesnt mean you kno more than others.... ill shine a clulite in your eyes from 50 yards away and then a 240 blitz im sure you will get further with the clulite in your eyes!! i dont think im an expert on lamps but it isnt rocket science toi kno the more powerfull the lamp the blinder the quarry will be... Are you a hunter????? Thats the usual shite the antis spout, i have lamped thousands of quarry and NEVER have i blinded any of them, thats the old wives tales the antis push mate, are you a virgin lamper???????????? twat, are
  10. While I have to admit I'm a tradistlionist where Lurchers are concerned, I like the look of this cross, but I'd far rather put Buddy to a "normal" lurcher type, but it will be interesting to see how these pups turn out. Good luck with them, and keep us updated ! Cheers.
  11. If someone shone a lazer in my eyes, it would blind me; if someone shone a candle in my eyes it wouldn't ! We are talking about lamps between 500,000 cp and 2 mcp, not a massive difference in the scheme of things ! Istill say the Blitz 240 is the best lamp I PERSONALY , have used;but everyone to their own ! Cheers.
  12. I thought you just plugged into the cigarrete lighter ?? Cheers.
  13. Cocker, you're a daywalker !! What do you know about lamping ?? LOL !! If I ever come out lamping with you mate, I'll let you carry the car battery; you're younger than me ! Cheers, Richie.
  14. Lets not turn this interesting thread into an argument! What I'll say is, I remember the first time I lamped, with an old spot light off a car and a motor bike battery...we caught gear, but looking back, the lamps were crap ! I've tryed most lamps, and the one before the Blitz was a Clulite 2MCP, a decent lamp, it fit in my pocket and was light and easy to use; BUT I found the beam to wide and not long enough ! The Blitz I have now can be adjusted to give a flood or spot, and to be fair, the beam is so long, that if your dog didn't catch before the quarry got away... then it deserved to get aw

No mate, I never said I knew more than others !!! I was giving an opinion !!Shining a light in my eyes has nothing to do with lamping. You carry on with what you're doing, I'll carry on with what I do. Cheers.
  16. Doe's it matter if they were in their own back field or 300 mile away ? People keep moaning that there is nowt around them, and others tell them to travel if they want to put game in the bag !! I think it was wrong of you to have a pop at the lads....they were doing what some have done for years...they got unlucky...it happens !!! Cheers.
  17. I'd love to know how many people have actualy ran a lot of game, over a decent period with different lamps, to be such experts on which lamp is best !! Over the past 45 years, I've seen lamps improve so much, and the best I've used is the Blitz 240 !! All this crap about rabbits running different under various lamps is laughable !! The better the lamp, the more you keep the quarry in the beam, simple as !! Cheers.
  18. Do ypu realy think you would get an "even" litter when theres FIVE different breeds in the mix ? I think it would be a very diverse litter, but a god mix, nontheless. Cheers.
  19. I agree with Simo... the quarry didn't run any different when I was using a Clulite or my 240 !! Difference is, you can keep them in the beam a lot longer and farther with the 240 !! Cheers.
  20. Whin; didn't YOU have a visit and your dogs and gear taken a whie ago ???? Give the lads a break, it's part of the game...they took a chance, got unlucky with the motor braking down and it's came on top !! Cheers.
  21. I thought it was legal in Eire ? I was in County Offaly last year, and the land owner who took me and my dogs out coursing said it was legal !! Were these guys poaching or on permission ? Cheers.
  22. "The Happy Ferreter", I hope I'm wrong; but you sound like a tree hugging, bunny loving anti !! Why on earth question the lads about "taking so many " ?? I know these guys and they work their dogs AND themselves hard to get such bags !! I'd bet 99% of the people on these sites would like to have dogs, permission and bags like these lads do ! Cheers.
  23. Just had the same; bought a few chickens of a local farmer on saturday and asked about permission, he said no problem ferreting and would even take me round and see the warrens, but as soon as I mentioned lamping, his attitude changed ! I'll do a bit ferreting and drop him a rabbit or two off and when I get chickens or feed, etc off him, I'll keep trying for the lamping permission !! Cheers.
