Just a generation or two back we had men going into the bowels of the earth and hewing coal by hand. we had men riveting steel ships together with sledgehammers. we had men working on the sweltering heat of steelworks and foundries.     Reminds me of an old anthropologist saying, tongue in cheek , I think; ” There are three, main, races; negroid, mongoloid and caucasoid. There is a school of though that the negroid is descended from the great apes; the mongoloid is descended from the monkey and the caucasoid is descended from a lost Eurasian hominid much like the yeti or the Sasquatch “.     I know I’m going off track and possibly opening a can of worms, but the flood myth has always interested me. As it’s most prevalent in Judeo folk law Ive allways leant towards it being an actual event, not covering the whole planet , but either the breaching off the Bosporus or the breaching of the Pillars of Hercules, allowing a dry Mediterranean to be flooded. But this theory doesn’t hold water, (pardon the pun), with the fact there are flood myths in places as diverse as China and South America.     Do you think you’d get ELEVEN warnings off a court for coursing before you got jailed ? I see those two stupid bints that threw soup over the Van Gogh painting have been found guilty….     There’s a left wing lunatic woman on GBNews right now who wants to defund the police and is insisting that the guy who was kicked by the policeman was tied up and lying on the floor. When the presenter said the guy wasn’t tied up she insisted he was even though they had just watched the video. Cheers.

    Yeah, it’s all over the news. Not a lot of details just that video but there was supposed to be four of them going a bit wild, police in hospital and woman PC with a broken nose. Looks bad though with the police kicking and stamping on that guy when it looks like he was already incapacitated by a taser. Just been said on GBNews that there is a lot going on before the video, so I’ll not make a judgment just yet. Cheers.

    Mate, he’s 81 years old and suffering from what is likely vascular dementia, he will die soon enough and it won’t be a conspiracy, just a combination of illness and old age. What is appalling is that his family, advisors and others in government allowed him to continue when it was plain to see that he wasn’t up to it. He should have been sitting in a rocking chair on his porch with his grandchildren around him, not being made a fool of on TV. Cheers.

    Thank you, I’d far rather carry on an interesting discussion, debate where the adversaries can see and respect, without necessarily agreeing with, the opinions of others . It’s very easy to take the statement you made and I have quoted to “reductio ad absurdum”. Your statement, taken in the context of groups with similar aims and actions , but different philosophies , should be subject to the same laws of course makes sense, but in the far wider context of equating someone planning to protest his local council to someone planning an atrocity makes no sense at all. They shouldn’t lock up someone planning to protest outside the council office about getting their bins emptied but they should lock up someone planning to blow up a load of kids.
