Good, when my grandson is here I teach him my ways, horses, dogs , birds. Hes nine now so when he comes here next school holiday I’ll be teaching him how to shoot , starting off with the old BSA Meteor . Cheers.

My pal Lee Evans won two Olympic gold medals at 400 metres and held the records for 20 years but never went under 10:20 for 100 metres in his life, but you’re saying 10 year olds are faster ? You may be right but I’d find it hard to believe. Cheers.

But I do see it mate ! I just can’t agree in the comparison between us and the 1930’s Weimar Republic in Germany . That was an epoch defining time, leading to all out world war. What we have isn’t going to have a knock on effect for the world. Its leading to what had been going on since the end of WW2 , the Suez Crises , the retreat from East of Suez, the end of the Empire, it’s what the politicians call “managed decline” ! Wilf, we are nothing like 1930’s Germany. Permanent member of the UN Security Council. Fifth biggest economy in the world. Nuclear Power. One of the worlds best resourced and trained militaries. Inflation at 2%, Weimar Germany’s inflation was in the 1,000’s ! We are not standing in queues with a barrow load of pounds to buy a loaf . I can pull into a petrol station and fill up. Yeah, things aren’t great and will get worse with Labour, but the same as 1930’s Germany ?? Cheers.

He’s opening up their economy by making the Argentine Peso exchangeable with the Dollar, Pound, Euro, Yen, etc. That may upset the BRICS fanatics, but at the end of the day the imaginary BRICS currency doesn’t exist, it’s just a group of countries aligning their currencies much like the Euro or how currencies like the Saudi riyal are tied to the dollar. All countries have to trade with each other and accept each other’s currencies. Cheers.

In what way, Wilf ? 1930’s Germany was in chaos, the aftermath of the WW1 , rampant inflation, way, way above anything we have experienced, a defeated people having to pay reparations to the victors . Hitler took advantage of the chaos and the leaders of Germany were still living in the glory days of the 1800’s while the people starved. Hitler played on nationalistic pride and militaristic power, the complete opposite to what we have here with the Tory and Labour parties. I honestly can’t see any comparisons. Cheers.

Iran has been supplying Russia with drones and missiles, as has China an North Korea. Russia probably can’t pay for this in hard currency so, I’d guess, the matériel going in the opposite direction is payment for the supplies . I won’t be worrying about the call-up, I’m way , way past fighting age, and have seen a few wars, and there wasn’t any call-ups for them, so I’m highly sceptical there will be a call -up next month; but your information may be more accurate than mine. My info is just hearsay. Cheers.

Hearing unverified reports that Ukraine and Russia are both running out of the “three M’s” ; men , munitions, and matériel. China is about to tell Putin to get round the table with Zelensky and stop the war as it’s affecting Chinas economy and it’s ongoing “ Roads & Belts” program around the world. No hard facts, but evidently our Foreign Secretary, Lammy , is going to China to meet Xi and put forward suggestions for a peace process. Hope it’s true and it ends soon . Cheers.

While I can somewhat agree with you on this point, like everything, there are two sides to the story . I’ve worked with many TCN’s and personally know many who have , through their remittances back to their home countries , put their children through university and end up being doctors, dentists, Engineers, airline pilots etc. So if a doctor leaves the Philippines to work here, but his remittances pay for two of his children to become doctors in the Philippines Is it one step backwards to take two steps forward ? I don’t really know for sure. Cheers.
