Don't always bank on well used,dropping covered sets to produce rabbits it's not the first & last time it'll happen to us & our ferts.If you have a marking dog the job's sorted if you don't(like me) it's something you'll have to just get on with. Soon as the youngsters get into the thick of it with bugs,they'll shift them...show patience with them & they'll come good. Failing that knock them on the head & get a couple of 100% guaranteed workers off some bloke in a pub for a few quid each

Liking the quad & trailer B make sure your old man does'nt do a Ozzy Osbourne tho .Seem to be hanging around the 30's in numbers which should keep you ticking over...no more carrying them off anymore now tho

When i first logged on,mmm don't like it too bright had a good mooch around it,profile,etc & hey, it's ok .As said it's just change,some don't like it.As long as the quality & status quo is still on the THL what difference does a different skin & a few changes make???

Well after 7 night shifts of sitting on the M1 at 52mph i was more than ready for a mooch out as were the ferts.Arrived at the bottom quarry 9:30am,bright & no wind,the grafters today were Potch & Amber which were going crackers in the box on the way to the first set of the morning. I started at a hedgerow set,netted up,collared up & put the jill in the old tree stump...1 in the bag however it was on it's last legs with myxi should have knew anyway by the way it walked into the net .Nothing at home further along the hedgerow so off into the quarry i yomped. As njc says they make a big difference when fitted.It's easily done but use the correct punches if you can.I put one in my Shilloutte .22lr 2 weeks ago & my 50yd groups came down to the size of a 10p as previously the trigger creep had the rounds spraying all over the place at that range. -
Well the trusty old BSA Meteor my first airgun as a teenager(mid 's) .DON'T put a ox spring in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I did because i wanted the POWER when i finally got the bloody thing in,it was a pig to cock,the trigger went from hair to solid whenever it felt like it,the stock imploded after a dozen shots . A new stock was put on,trigger unpredictable & the recoil of a howitzer .As you've guessed by now it was a waste of time,money & dangerous. Yes i would restore the gun to it's former glory but the Meteor has never really been a full power hunting airgun however i'm sure many pe

Last year at my place the myxi hit the bottom of the valley & wiped it out .This summer it came 4-6 weeks early & it's effects have'nt been so severe.Maybe the myxi comes in cycles of severity...who knows .I have noticed over the last 2-3 yrs of getting more rabbits with signs of scaring/scabs from recovering from myxi in Sept/Oct.

The old barbed wire....can't beat hanging off it Mr TP ...had a couple of scrot rippers in me time ,always when i've got me deerhunters on,not the cheap DPM's .Good bag & looks like the new permissions will keep you busy for the season

Top man for digging your fert out at 9ft .I ain't a fan of digging rabbits out meself...my average mark is 4-6ft but when the sh*t hits the fan when a ferts concerned it's got to be done.

A friend of mine had a blind albino hob & he was spot on.She'll get to know your voice & smell,plenty of handling & social time she'll be as good as any normal fert.

She hasn't got a male brain that's why. ..which brings me nicely along to the .177, a round so flat that it doesn't need the complexities of male brain to work out where the pellet is going to land, just point it in the same place every time, pull the trigger and a little faggoty pellet flies straight and true with that much speed it often passes through the target, doesn't impart enough energy and allows the target to fly off/run away!

I'll tell you what mate, I started off with a jacket, fleace, tea shirt, vest shirt, by the time I packed up I was just wearing the vest shirt, and I got a tan on one side, never known it be this warm at this time of the year, have you? Going to be warm for me for the next 7 weeks....b d nightshift!!!God i wish i stuck in at school ..hoping to get out Sunday...fingers crossed

Good result S1 ,one thing i miss from my ferreting is a dog but i have'nt got the time for a hound at the moment & when i have it's due to being unemployed ..so have'nt got the money .Looks like you'll have a good working partner there & get her used to the longnet..if it's not to hot to set it out
