    Is the lamp on continuos like? Lamp on quick scan, general direction with dog in vicinity, get to position, lamp on, quick hiss, dog knows it's game on and it's on? No?

    I start pups off on the slip,,,,and as there experience grows,,they kind of learn them selfs,,,,I do tend to give a comand,,I can't help myself,,,,but it's a kind of muffled hissed whisper if you know what I mean,,,and it's always the same two words day or night,,"git on"When I'm lamping and I'm sure most lads are the same,,I quickly cast the lamp over the area and make a mental note of where the bunnys are,,,usually with an experienced dog,,,they know too,,,then pick out your target... I think the important part of the dog training ,,,is the recal and walking at heel,,,I don't mean like one

    To be fair mate, a dog with experience on the lamp shouldn't need walked right up on a squatter, it should be trusting you that there's something at the end of the beam and picking it out its clamp.

    The missus was moaning about the mess of the house and me being a thoughtful guy thought it best to gather up the mutts and f**k off out her way...... Driving up to the bit I had in mind something caught my eye, I reversed back down and my thoughts were confirmed, this nice lad was just laying there. I jumped out and photographed him and he was pretty much un fazed even with the dogs going mental in the back...... Anyhow onto the doggy pictures, I parked up and just took a wander, not too far just maybe 5 or 6 fields just to let the dogs gave a run around, funny how
