  1. Yes I mentioned a drain yesterday and she avoided answering, just went on about the meds and the injury itself, thankfully that was not my vet but the emergency vet, I'm taking her in to see my vet today, the last time something similar happened the emergency vet used White thread on her and my usual vet was none too happy about the job to say the least,
  2. Dressing is off, f**k aye I know I've been bent over and shafted by the c**ts, only consolation is that it's gonnae cost me nowt as the neighbour is willing to pay albeit the £70 excess or the whole shebang, Cheers.
  3. Never had to do it yet mate and tbh would rather have a go on a smaller wound first.
  4. That's precisely what I said and she said it will fall off in a day or two, she's the expert supposedly? i would have stapled it personally, but that might have left a worse scar, cause of the shape it looks to be....dog will be fine in no time bud....hope it heals well...atb.. Never had a go of the staple gun mate, for that reason and the size of the tear I don't think I'd have liked my first shot at it! Shes fine the now, a wee bit tender but she's fine.
  5. He offered mate, he'll pay the excess if the insurance pays out, or the full amount if not.

  7. £140 + vat just to open the door? The estimated £350-£400 Rose to £644 because of insurance. b*****ds!
  8. Aye that's it, thing was, the guesstimated bill was the £350-£400 Mark as soon as insurance is mentioned it seems it doubles the bill!! All these wee things in the invoice add up. £30 for antibiotics (the same as what I've got here) £14 for a dressing patch?!? They knocked her out when I asked them not to, my own vet won't be happy I don't think, he's sound as a pound wee stitch and a staple here, the bare minimum which I don't mind, I paid the bill and submitted a claim to the insurance. It's the best £35 a month I'm spending, this will be my 4th claim in 3 years between 3 dogs. Back to my ow
  9. Before anyone else says "staple gun" the missus said naw!
  10. Well took an early morning mooch this morning with a mate, nothing about so headed back, dog off lead walking round the side of house, neighbours dogs come round the side, my bitch is wary of dogs at best of times so she runs round them but the old collie is in herding/protection mode and as she runs past he just nipped her but as it was at speed he tore her side, the neighbour was very apologetic said let him know the outcome from vet. I don't blame the collie it's just one of these things, he was just doing what he does. Anyway quick assessment doesn't look too bad, just a skin tear but miss

  15. Bought this lamp last week and tested it in the field, light quality is very good, very bright and sharp and picks the reflection of eyes up well, battery life too is very good, I like the lamp as a whole and the fact you can buy the gun mount separate and swap it over in two minutes flat. It has four settings, spot, low, flash & strobe, As a kit I can't fault it, the beam easily reaches 750m and can pick out quarry no bother at all, I'll admit the beam isn't as tight as I would like but it is not an issue just a personal preference. Here's the thing this would be ideal for a
