Yes it could be stereotypic behaviour caused by lack of enrichment but also a shock or stress could have caused it, as could an underlying health problem.

I don't rate Vauxhalls but I do like the astra, mine was an older model but I had a 1.7 diesel estate, lots of space, very reliable and 50mpg............
