spot on bosun, the ground i walk at times is seriously wicked on the feet and boots,(ask tyla on here lol)..im going to look into the boots before i buy.I have a pair of meindl dovers and they are top class but it being so wet a pair of wellies are necessary at times too.The puraforts are the way forward.. I've had mine over 2 seasons and they are still great , and the wellies are never off my feet
  5. I think they stopped making the kmx early 90's I had one and kdx. And the xr,s were replaced with the crf,s, so any of them would be real old and prob need work to keep right. The drz is very heavy bike!! Try picking them out of bogs!! I prefer the older ones as you can probably tell I had a drz400e and never thought about the weight of them cause I never done nothing serious with it just green laning ..
  6. I'm always right. Apart from this time it seems I read somewhere its all to do with rods and cones and the wavelengths of colours but can't find it now so I must be wrong ..
  7. Id be looking at 250s .. And 4 strokes like the yammy wr or Honda xr/xlr .. If I was wanting a 2 stroke for green laning and road riding id be looking for a kmx200 , there very underated but can be easily tuned up .. But if I had a full licence id be looking at a 400/450cc bike like the suzuki drz or ktm models
  8. Red isn't better as a light source , but red light is more distinguishable than white light at distance .. And btw traffic lights came before brake lights ...
  9. Red coloured light can be seen from the furthest away by the human eye , this is why traffic lights and other warning lights are red ... I've always prefered a blue filter when out lamping and when using one I never take it off the actual beam people are talking about. And I doubt you would pick out a red reflector over a white one mate, for a start the lumen power is a lot less. Also I thought the army used red because it's the light that is seen the least. Nope red is the easiest to see .. Its all to do with wavelengths of the colours , I'm sure reds used by the army cause it doesn't me
