  1. Depends which part of the Tyne. Coarse fishing season ended on the 14th March, trout season doesn't start till the 24th. I don't about the estuary part. regards, Ian.
  2. You should be able to go from 2h to 4l without the 4h button pressed. regards, Ian.
  3. Which transfer box is in it? I would guess the 4High range is on a dash switch and lowbox is on the floor lever. Engage 4wd when the truck isn't moving, especially into low box. If 4 high is on the dash switch the vacuum switches on the transferbox had a habit of going wrong. To check if the front hubs are working get under the truck and turn the front prop shaft by hand. The hubs should lock in and you won't be able to turn the shaft any more. The hubs unlock when you shift back to 2 wheel drive and reverse a few yards. The noise on full lock sounds like the power steering belt, easy
  4. Working Ferrets by Jackie Drakeford is quite good. Regards, Ian.
  5. It's good to see the pros have to dig sometimes too...... Glad you had a good day Magwitch. Regards, Ian.
  6. This time of year you're looking at young rape crops or stubble left for spring drilling. The edges of woods could be worth a look if the acorn crop has been a good one. In the spring look for fresh drillings of barley or beans, even young bean plants can be a good pigeon draw around April/May time. Towards harvest time look for laid patches of wheat or barley, I've a few good days on these and you don't need a lot of gear as you can use the standing crop for cover just walk up the tram lines in the field. Good luck, Ian.
  7. I've been using these for a few years now and find them very good. You can hear normal level sounds, speech etc, but are effective against gunfire. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/North-Sonic-II-Hearing-Protectors,-Ear-Defenders_W0QQitemZ360198504597QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=&rvr_id=&cguid=4b8d6d1d1250a0aad5a11751ff63b884 Regards, Ian.

  11. I'd go for a 235/85 x16 mud terrain. They will give a bit more height but are fairley narrow. I currently use Marshalls,I have some on my defender and are good across fields and tracks. Regards, Ian.
  12. Find out where the rabbits are coming out to feed and lie in wait. I used to do the leg work but ambush works much better for me. Regards, Ian.

  18. Why is man branded a 'tosser' for protecting his living. If he sees a dog running among his sheep what is he most likely to think? He may have had sheep killed by dogs before, so therefore has branded all dogs and dogmen dangerous to his livelyhood. Not all running dogs will be stock broken or focused enough on the target species when among stock. Sheep are dumb, we all know that and die for no reason what so ever. Just wondered, Ian.
  19. Ther's a far bit of info here............ http://www.basc.org.uk/content/airriflepractice Regards, Ian.

  21. Maltenby, you've obviously never been to an FT or HFT shoot then. Courses are set up with METAL knock over targets. Andy look on here for a club, Emley and Redfearns aren't too far from you either. J30 or 31 of M1, both good clubs. http://www.nefta.org.uk/ Regards, Ian.
  22. We have an 04 plate Shogun Sport, Warrior spec. Good car, plenty of power, nice to drive and very reliable so far. Just a bit thirsty, especially with the caravan on the back. And has daft 18'' wheels with expensive tyres. I've been told that a remapped ECU will help the fuel consumption, but I haven't looked into that properly yet. Reagrds, Ian
