    long net

I trying to make a quick set with electric fence posts (the ones with the metal spike in the end) Cut all the wire holders off the pole and use docking rings to hold the net on the pole. Pole are quite cheap from e-bay. Regards, Ian.
  3. I've had myxi up here on all my shoots since last spring and has had a big effect. I'm led to believe that if a rabbit can survive the virus it will become immune and pass that immunity on to its offspring. The virus is carried by rabbit fleas or mosquitos and can live for several month in these hosts blood and is then passed to the rabbit when the flea or mossy bites. Regards, Ian.
  4. Welcome aboard Milo. Regards, Ian.
  5. I've only ever had the mk3 and find it easy to use, if a little noisy. I had a few problems with collars coming off when I first used it, but I just put a few more holes in them with a hot needle to sort it. Mk1s are getting harder to come by, e-bay is probanly the best place to look. Regards, Ian.

All the info you need should be here. You can probably download the forms too. http://www.lancashire.police.uk/index.php?id=459 Regards, Ian.
  7. Can anybody recommend a book or website with info on setting up a flight pond for ducks. A farm that I ferret on has 2 ponds and I have permission to shoot the smaller of the 2. The pond is very small, only maybe 20ft by 40ft but it already attracts a few mallard. It used to get shot over a few years ago but guy who fed it has left the farm. Any recommendations from members as reguards planting trees, cover, feeding throughout the year, etc would be most appreciated. Thaks in advance, Ian.
  8. I have 11 at the moment, 8 jills and 3 hobs. 3 are this years young and not working yet. 1 is a retired jill with a funny leg. Ian.

    when ?

Presumably you would be using a lamp? The use of an artificial light source, ie lamp, night vision etc, can only be used on birds on or in a man made structure. I cant remember the last time I saw pheasants roosting in farm buildings or under a bridge. ID
