  1. It was a CA organised event so every single CA member *should* have known about it. I certainly got emails and leaflets about it quite a way in advance. I agree though, it should be made more accessable for more regular wallet. That was certainly one of the things that put me off. BUT having said that, some of us think nothing of spending our money on tickets to football, rugby or gigs etc although I think it was still a little higher priced than i've ever paid to go to Twickenham.
  2. I think those that want to publicly support field sports do. I can understand why some people wouldn't want it to become public knowledge. Personally i'm proud to hunt, its definately not something I hide and I think enough anti's have my mug on their cameras aswell as my numberplate and probably bra size.
  3. Thanks Snap. Its not exactly life or death, I just fancied putting a tune on my profile. I use facebook status to rant, rave and seemingly amuse my friends so i'd probably be a menace with that too.
  4. I've wondered that too on occasion. I have lots of dense moments Ossie, they usually occur when choosing men!
  5. Hmm, just thought. I don't have a profile song thingy on my controls. Do I need to be a donater? I've not done it yet as i've not got paypal and i'm useless at organisation!
  6. You wouldn't be the first to say that Zap.
  7. I'm on the lookout for an SLR Kay, I bought my compact about a year ago to replace the one I had but its just no good for action shots. Even if the dogs are just trotting around its not great, it misses bits of them.
  8. Thanks Zap, I found that thread and theres nothing on it.
  9. Bless you Zap, thats not helping though.
  10. I'm sure I remember this being talked about a while ago but I can't find it. How do you get a song on your profile?
  11. Most of the names mentioned have openly shown their support for field sports in one way or another Zap, certainly the ones i've mentioned anyway. NH jockeys tend to come under the eye of animal rights activists anyway and although i'm sure its not unheard of I wouldn't think there are many that are anti hunting. Most NH trainers suports hunting too, the trainer I used to work for also hosts a shoot on her estate aswell as meets for the foxhounds. Not sure if the beagles still meet on her land but they used to.
  12. I've never met Otis Ferry, only passed him a few times at the Festival of Hunting last year and i'm pretty sure that doesn't count. I've heard mixed things about him. He's a patron of Lurcher Link so he can't be all that bad.
  13. Marco Pierre White. And yes Patterdale123, Otis Ferry is Bryan Ferry's son.
  14. Unfortunately I didn't make it but I transported a rescue lurcher up there the following day to the person that runs that particular rescue and got the lowdown and lots of pics. If they do it again I will try and go as it looked like a brilliant night! Who else performed? I forget now. I hear Clarkson's speech was worth hearing.
  15. A few have come out in support of hunting in Ireland. There was a letter published recently from a jockey supporting the staghound packs that they were trying to ban. I agree though, seeing as most of them learn their trade in one way or another around hunting and their mounts usually go at some point they could show more support.
  16. What about the ones that spoke out at the countryside rally in 97. Jeremy Irons et al. Without looking I can't remember. Trevor Eve was present at The Countryside Rocks at Highclere along with Jeremy Clarkson and Bryan Ferry performed, someone else too and I forget who it was. There are a few of em about...

    Phones

With O2 you can get up to 1000 texts a month depending on how much you top up. I found it wasn't enough for me and I was spending a fortune but then I did have a boyfriend who lived in yorkshire.

    Phones

I have the one that I used for a while but i'll see if I have any of the unused ones left. I think the old one may still have some credit too.

    Phones

Failing that, do you have a little local phone shop? They could probably test it for you and then unlock if needed. Having said that, when I was trying to unlock a phone for my mum the other week I came acroos loads of websites that give you the codes free to unlock various models. You could try that, it shouldn't harm the phone if its already unlocked. I did have a load of O2 sims from when they did their free offer, they sent me 4 instead of 1. If I can find one you are welcome to it.

    Phones

Do you have someone else that can try a different SIM in the phone? Not neccessarily an O2, just a different network. Normally phones that are locked to networks do have that network logo on them but its not always the case. Three phones I have recently found out cannot be unlocked but any other network should be ok.
  21. Lovely pics. Especially the first one.
  22. Bob Grass does some good skin ointment. I'll try and find you a link. If mine get minor cuts and scrapes I bathe them and clean them up with Hibiscrub and use Sudocrem (nappy cream) on them. Its brilliant for things like that but sometimes you have to cover the wounds to stop the cream being licked off. Edited to add the link: Bob Grass Its the skincure you want.
