    just back from the midland first show since about 1990.it gave me a chance to see basket quickset in the flesh.looked at master hunters stand.fxxk me look like skiing poles.saw a few more but the bulk & size of poles will never be for me.got be traditional.

    i have a young first cross here.i have never bred pups before but if all goes well like to in a few years.thought about back to a whippet to make three-quarters bred.

    i have no doubt your keeper is diligent but i also have no doubt keepers have a much easier life now due to game being worthless compared to 80s early 90s.

    i was talking to a local farmer recently.he had seen a few local dog lads on but left them alone.he said sometimes its best as a neighbouring farmer had nothing but trouble after calling police he had fences etc damaged.not saying it's right but confrontation can open a new can of worms.

    remember mid 80s could get £5 a brace in pubs now some shoots bury them so i am told.
