  1. Got there for 8:45, seen them all within 2 hours, I took boy blunder with me so only did the back of the farm, I didn’t do around chicken johns because by that time he was getting on my nerves ?
  2. That’s the plan with these gingers, they do like to sit amongst the lambs waiting for an opportunity ?
  3. So I got a call off the sheep farmer saying where the bloody hell are you we have started lambing, so off I went, was there 15 minutes and spotted the first one in next doors field and it was having non of it, headed towards the buildings so no shot 20 minutes later another again to close to the buildings and winded me trying to get around it and to top it off one ran across the drive on the way out, there will be lambs in the field after the weekend so I’ll be back up next week, fingers crossed for a bit of luck
  4. http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/police-officer-admits-misconduct-after-15778037#ICID=ios_GazetteLiveNewApp_AppShare_Click_Other idiot, this is where my little shoot is, people like him are ment to support our community and give advice on best practice not try and rip people off
  5. That long hot summer that now seems a very long way away did the birds the world of good, I can’t remember a time up here where by the end of August everything wasn’t soaking wet, we had a little mycoplasma problem ( first time we have used this breeder ) early on but as the cold took hold it sorted the weak out, we had no cover crop around the farm this year so they didn’t stray to far from the woodland, all in all a cracking season, looking forward to the next one now
  6. That looks lovely, for me driven game is at its best in the snow, sadly we didn’t get a proper covering this season but our little shoot still shot well right through, our last day was over a week ago now so it time to gather up the feeders and start hammering the woodies ?
  7. Well if you don’t get out you won’t see anything sat in the house ive got a Saturday off the week after next so if the weathers ok I’ll take you to the farm next to the timber plantation, might have a bit more luck there ?
  8. Stealth ghost netting is really good, get the 5 meter one, the extre meter makes a difference when building your hide, A1 decoys have a good selection ?
  9. Bloody hell, that looks to cold for me ?
  10. Sh*t, I forgot about that, looks like I just cost you 5 quid ?
  11. The mags are spot on and if you get a synthetic stock you get an extra mag that clips in, very snazzy I know what you mean about the trigger, for me the Cz in sharper ?
  12. I had a go at the pigeons this morning on the rape, there was quite a few about and managed 11 and a crow for 18 shots before been called away for a family crisis, think I may of had a few more shots if I set up under the trees the other side of the field as the seemed to be coming down that line before crossing the field and if there was a bit of wind and it wasn’t -3 ? but there’s always another day
  13. Rabbits will live almost anywhere, but farm land ( crop fields) are always top of my bunny bashing list, this time of year I tend to go out after dark for rabbits in the summer I like early warm evenings, over the last few years the rabbit population has had it hard with disease but there’s still some about, I don’t think we will ever see the days when we were shooting 40’s a night again
  14. Sad times Gav, I’ve had a few in a couple of places around here where you could just pick them up and no matter where I go the numbers are low
  15. You won’t buy a better rimfire than a Cz, I’ve had no bother with the browning but it was a lot more money than the Cz and is no better
  16. Yes mate that will be the longshanx with his Cz .22 in the spec you said, we both shoot 17’s as well, him with a posh tikka T1x and I have a browning T bolt and a Cz both in 17, they are all very accurate rifles
  17. They are on the rape up here, just because there’s nothing else for them to be at, the field I’m sat in now has been battered, what’s been shot so far is a bit on the skinny side ?
  18. No snow yet on the lower ground but it is a bit fresh, I almost had to put a jumper on ??
  19. Me and longshanx took ourselves out for a walk to a spot I haven’t been for a while, few hoppers about and he managed 4, two of them we couldn’t find as they were in the hedge backs but I’m sure a ginger will find them and put them to good use ?
  20. They are up here in quite large numbers around saltholme and the mouth of the river Tees but I remember when I was a young un out with the lamping lads we used to see flocks of them in fields further inland, I can’t of seen that for over 20 years
  21. Cracking video ? I always forget about this end of the forum, so just subscribed to your YouTube channel
  22. First go with my new dslr, using it in manual so please bear with me, was going for a good walk but due to the weather had to take them from the car ?
  23. Thanks mate, that makes perfect sense, I’ve watched a couple of videos on it and most of them are a bit to much information to take in all at once
  24. Well I got finished early today so sat down for an hour with the new camera, it took me 20 minutes to work out how to set the date and time and another half hour to work out the app, so by then, no time to go out so the pet rabbits got to be my subject, I’m trying to use it in manual so I get to know what it can do, the one thing I want to learn is blurring the background so an evening of YouTube is on the cards, cheers for the help ?
