  1. I haven't a clue mate , I probably was told but forgot, it was years ago. And last time I seen my old mate was over ten years ago when he popped into my business to say hello.
  2. Long long long time ago in my late teens, I had a mate back then who was friendly with Plummer and I was with my mate and he arranged for me to stay with Plummer , however at the time I declined the offer as I wasn't allowed to take my dog and didn't want to go without her. My friend was gifted a Plummer lurcher pup, I only watched it ferreting and it had a good nose and was steady round a bury. Here is an old pic I took
  3. Just spat my coffee out laughing at that pmsl
  4. Is that the criminal/gangster/mma ex con ? I think I half watched a podcast with him in it. I think last night was d Joyce's debut of his bare knuckle exhibition show at bowlers in Manchester Edited to add , I wonder if they will steep dare hands in petrol ........lol
  5. I remember driving to malham the very next day after I passed my driving test, AA road atlas just me on my own and my young Hancock bitch on backseat of a battered old banger. After reading hoskers articles.
  6. I did actually yeah, stayed at helmsdale a few times. I remember lamping brora golf course
  7. Been a couple of years now since we spoke, he had one old dog then. But he packed hunting in years ago.
  8. I believe she was called ruby, not sure the rest of it. But got a funny story relating to that. A crew of lads I used lamp and dig with in the 90,s . Went on a week's rabbiting holiday to Caithness called in to see Tommy and either bought a small whippety type lurcher off Tommy or a relative, can't remember exact details as years ago. Anyway these lads was stopping in a rental cottage and went and bought the dog, and decided that night to go on the piss in the two local pubs. Left the dog loose in the cottage. But when they came back from the boozer, the dog had eaten everything, the curtains
  9. No big number pics. But had some very happy times and fond memories of travelling up North to Scotland for a week's or weekends hunting holiday . Fell in love with it first time I went at nineteen years old, truly gods own country.
  10. My mate told me that , that Tommy little whippety types slid through the wire. And my mates big minshaw dogs couldn't do that type of running at that time on those fields with that type of fencing. He described it similar to railway fencing .
  11. Many years later we stayed up there and my mate new Tommy so we called for a brew for a chat. He long since give up with the lurches and then kept collies sheep dogs. I found time a nice quiet spoken fella very hospitable and he kindly pointed us in the direction of a few spots to hit.
  12. It's all madness. Just all bills going up in general. The electric and gas is scary, in my little business I use a lot of electric and some of the machinery is 3 phase, am dreading it. Also with increased fuel prices and the looming of the clean air bill ( although has been put back for now, but is coming ) running a business is hard work. My little business is in a semi rural area and only a 10 min drive from my house, for work I have a little 1.3 diesel van which I use a tenner a week to get to work and back. But if the clean air charge does go through it would cost me a tenner a day to driv
  13. Anybody watch this documentary on channel 4 , about some fella who bought a caravan and lived with travellers for 60 days. Only watched the first episode but was not a bad watch. Don't know who the fella was, but seemed a decent fella, Ed Stafford he was called , apparently done some other interesting stuff too.
  14. I stopped paying for mine 9 yrs ago. Still get regular letters , I just put them in the log burner lol. Had a plonker knock on door once , I just ignored him. Am like yourself ketchup I genuinely don't watch the BBC . In fact I very rarely watch telly, I watch a few films on my firestick and mostly watch YouTube content. So fed the noncey organisation.
