    Jagds are direct descendant of Welsh and Lakeland terriers.I grew up with this breed and spent hours talking to guys who butcher the English language worse than me.That is the only jag I have.I am not a fan of the breed overall.Yall do know to be bred from in Germany they have to successfully dig a badger kill a fox and bay a hog.They keep a line of non sanction terriers that are too small to be registered most of them are bred strictly for digging. As the old saying goes jack of all trades master of none.

    My dad bred and raised jagds here in America.When he packed it in I went got a bitch she can do the job of 3 minkhounds 2 lurchers and stay till dug.BUT most are better suited for hogs. They are like any other terrier most are bred from culls which lower your percentage.A good un should hunt up Charlie then go to ground and bring him back lol.i have never bred this bitch to another jagd.Just playing devil's advocate.This is legal quarry in my state in USA. 3 hours in collapsing sand getting dentistwork .All men and dogs are not created equal.

    I personally believe they are the bull that was added to JR.Coincidentally some of the old Irish pitdogs through exact same color scheme as JR.Most were small 18-30 lbs

    My dad's an old junker.He picked it up at an estate auction.He gets anything hound or terrier related for me.I have old magazines and books he has run into.

    I own this picture.It is what made the original pitdog.These dogs came over with their owners from England and Ireland.15 years ago I was introduced to a few houndsmen, one from England and one from Ireland both of which asked for a good bull to cross to their lurchers.They had moved here to work coyote packs for rich folks because of laws in their countries.I gifted them one and laughed and said y'all had these dogs first. Growing up as a kid I watched bulldog men ship dogs to other countries and laugh and say they will never have what we got.Now Americans are bringing those dogs back 30 year

    I try to stay out of the drama on this site but I can't stand it anymore.What FD said should be gold engraved and hung over your supper table. The only culls I've whelped were raised by idiots with pups pegged out and constantly talking to them.It will lead to false marks also.So in conclusion we all need to hush and let the dogs talk to us.

    Best terrier I ever had named Howdy is gone.I have debated for two weeks to post this. I have never posted on any forum on the internet.After much deliberation I think he deserves this.Gone at 13. Blind and selectively deaf since 9. He spent his latter years in hand picked spots. He ran loose the last 2 months of his life still trying to start trouble at every kennel.Howdy your gone but I will always strive to be as game as you.
