In America any dish washing soap that will cut grease will also kill fleas immediately on a dog but will dry out his skin if done often. Also I pour salt from the feed store around kennels.I also use the sprays. The old houndmen here used to use burnt motor oil and sulphur. It cures mange and will detour any blood sucker.

I appreciate you posting my picture Mr Liam but my name ain't John. -
I would recommend going to Florida if you enjoy fishing of any kind. The morning before we went bowfishing me and little brother jumped the surf in kayaks and paddled 3 miles out to a wreck to catch red snapper. You can see the shore if you look closely in first picture.

I'm not old but I have noticed in my life that dogmen can age faster than a drug addict.I watched it with my old man.His words of wisdom was "Don't worry son it gets worse" -

A shit eating possum and a bolted coward of a coon is all I have to show from an all day walk in knee deep mud other than a skidmark in my boxers from when I stepped on a snake.Im on the couch eating aspirin crying about my back and my wife is demanding I give her a reason why I do this to my self and I honestly can't think of any. -
There is guides you can hire.I think it's around $2000.I would recommend a saltwater bowfishing trip if any of y'all ever travel to Florida it's roughly $100 per person all gear provided.Stingray are fun to shoot and put up a fight. These are pictures from a family trip in October. As you can see Me, little brother and the ole man still enjoy bowfishing as a family. The little fish is a barracuda. We had a blast. My sister and sister in law also shot several but they would kill me if I posted their pics.If any of y'all travel to Southeastern USA I would be glad to take you out for freshwater fish.H

It's generally the month of September. In Louisiana they use limb lines like fishing. In Mississippi, Alabama and Florida your allowed to bowfish at night for them. The state government designates you a very small area. The arrow must be placed through Gators eye or a spot the size of a coin at the back of his head. His hide cannot be penetrated anywhere else.

The picture is 15 years old lol.Its also in Florida 12 hour drive. We taped it but nobody has a VHS anymore. We took a 8 footer but I don't have picture as we eat him he wasn't worth taking to the buyer.Through our hog hunting adventures we met a man who said he would take us and he did.We are trying to do it again but they only give a few tags and thousands sign up.

Sorry for the quality of this picture. My father shot this with a bow. Then we pulled the string and came right to us at which point I harpooned him(mop handle with broadhead attached) It was attached to a rope with a big ball on end.We chased him down pulled him in on the rope with him kicking and screaming like a toddler tantrum.22 pistol point blank. He measured 12ft4.We sold him to pay for our trip and kept the head mount.

The best part of bowfishing is it can be done cheap. You do not need an expensive bow.Mine is over 20 years old and has been abused and submerged in the ocean a few times. Its a youth bow which I like best because when you're holding a lamp with your right hand steering the boat with your knee and holding bow in your left hand then you want it to be light. My entire family can shoot like Robin hood except me.I am the black sheep of the family. They all deer hunt but I don't.My father shoots a long bow like the Indians used.If a fish pulls all of the line out of my bottle reel then the float will c

I bowfish 3 times a week February through August.I shoot some othertimes. It doesn't harm the population. They have tournaments in my area where thousands will be weighed in then they are tossed on a field for fertilizer.I use a lamp attached to a large marine battery. Also I have led barlights around boat. They were originally designed for off road use. Also I shoot some fish during the day but it takes skill to look through 2 foot of muddy water to see a fish.We also shoot common carp like y'all have but they are smaller and slower usually.
-
I don't eat them.i place them near good sets for the coon and otter. Its the circle of life.
-
Most are grass carp except the 2 catfish. All are between 40-70 lbs.The catfish with the Fatboy in the pic is 70+ lbs.Shooting fish this size from the kayak is quite an adrenaline rush.

Yes we do but they are all many miles from me.I took my daughters to jack Russell show that does go to ground activities. The most fun part for me was racing. They drag race them white dogs 5 side by side wearing muzzles. In my opinion it's better than the Kentucky Derby. -

The lines across the mud are beaver troughs which will lead you to a good set with some kind of quarry. The problem is it could be beaver coon otter possum mink or muskrat.I have bolted 10 beaver 2 muskrat and 2 otter from 1 set.Hope this helps give y'all a grasp of what I do . -

The river bottoms I hunt are public hunting land. Its mostly used by duck hunters and coonhound men.Its hard to get private land permission as rich men pay big money to deer hunt. Our rivers are controlled by dams. They lower the river level 5 feet in winter so most sets are surrounded by mud.But the river is always close by.With a $20 hunting license I have access to over a 1000 miles of river bank. When the river is low I can use Google Earth to find good spots. -

There is some other states where it's legal if I can get through the bureaucracy.Otters are more suited for second season dogs than first. Some terriers will never find a second otter as they will refuse. Some terriers will show good and quit 2 digs after otter on a small coon. Some terriers go in and shit theirselves and come out looking like they seen a ghost with barely a scratch on them. -

When you have a single terrier I don't know who's hunting who but yes I have chased otter for a decade.Recently they have changed local laws here so they can only be taken by trap.I am a law abiding citizen but my dogs are struggling to adjust to it. -

I have chased the same few mink over and over until they die of old age but I have never caught one with a terrier. In my area otters keep the mink population in check. -

Yes they can. Also the further North you go they increase in size.I am in the south.I hunt islands where they are not tame they get chased by hounds all winter every winter.Coon season is open here year around here.In those pictures the black bitch weighs 13 lbs those coons weighed 13-15.except in picture with the mud that's a 20lb bitch with 21lb boar coon folded over a spade.Thats as big as wild ones get in my area. -

I will post some pictures good enough for public viewfrom this season.I will not reply to fighting or crying. The third picture down was in a rangy place.I located the bitch 200 yards from entrance with tunnels and exits everywhere. There was 2 boar and a sow there. They enjoy underground orgy's during breeding season. My digs are usually 2-5 feet deep.
