I always split a new tin of pellets into two tins and give them a quick spray with pellet lube.

Hopefully I,ll get some longer distances tried but it,ll have to be with the photon which isn't the best in daytime, unless I do a night test haha

Well I sent off for a tin of the new QYS FT pellets, so gave them a quick test this evening against the jsb heavies which I usually use, now it was dark when I did the test and I used the photon rt as its on the hw100, so each test was done with a full mag (14) on each target, I couldn't see the actual dot with the photon so I shot one pellet and aimed at that hole..then I shot the last 8 of my polymag for fun, these are the results, it looks like the jsb just pips it BUT I did pull a couple with the QYS pellets to the left so if you look carefully I think the QYS group would been a little bit

Probably 22 as I already have the hw100 in 177, just can't get on with the loopy trajectory of the .25, I've had bunnies out to 40yds with it tho, Ive just put the mtc viper pro 5-30x50 on top of the .25 now as Ive got the photon rt on the hw100, so gonna see how the 25 performs with the viper pro as I can use the turret adjustment for every shot rather than using holdover/under..... And if I dont get on with it then I,ll try and part ex it at the RFD..... -

Just curious!!, would the nitesite rangefinder work with a thermal scope or does the rf need ir light?

I'm not sure, but I will try that, I have already took the centre out of the cap, but have the cap open when at night, would you advise to have the f900 on flood rather than spot?

Bit of advice,... I was out bunny bashing for a couple of hours last night, and I had the above ir unit on top of the photon rt, for some reason the IR unit kept flashing real bright for a split second then went back to normal then kept doing the same thing... Any ideas what's going on?, the battery was the supplied battery with the IR and it was fully charged... Cheers...

Well, had a bit of cloud cover this evening so decided to pop down to the perm for a couple of hours see what was about, last couple of evenings it's been clear with no cloud and no wind so I left it, seen a few about out to furthest I seen was 189yds with the tracer f900 ir on top of the photon, manages these two at 42yds and 35yds, got to the 2nd one and its got a huge lump on it's back leg....

What is the accuracy like? If it's getting good groups then it doesn't really matter, but round about the 11fpe your getting is fine....

Would it hold three scoped air rifles? Would it be approved if I went down the fac route? and how much?

Nice bit of shooting mate, the perm I have he breeds/rears chickens and geese, not seen a rat anywhere yet....

Cheers... I've seen the pulsar batteries, I am tempted to get them, but at the moment in getting round about three hours use with a set of four recharheables that's using the onboard IR, screen brightness on 10 and the IR on 3 for shooting, and put it up to 10 for scanning the fields but to tbh even with the IR on 10 it's not that much better than it being on3 or 4,i have two external ir units which are great but it's all Xtra weight and bulk when added..

I took one shot at a guessed distance and missed to I thought sod it...and FAC is a long way off if ever....

Went to the perm for a couple of hours, got there it just started to rain lightly and also some smoke from a fire the owner has had, well the rangefinder doesn't like either the rain or the smoke as everything was 12yds away, so I'm going home gutted.. Anyone else had this problem with their rangefinder (nitesite) or any other rf? ?
