  4. Well got a shock of a phone call a couple of days ago,the in-law I go metal detecting with every now and then, has permission to detect on and shoot the rabbits and squirrels,he can only go so often tho,so he asked the owner could he bring me along as I do a bit of pest control too,the owner was over the moon and they seem to have a lot of pests,it's not a farm but a HALL with 300 acres yep 300 acres,we can go anywhere on the 300 acres but he said for now can we concentrate on the HALL gardens as rabbits/squirrels are making a mess,so the inlaw took me round today for a mooch wow the HALL stan

  7. Just got back from Mcavoy guns, oooh the hw110 does fit nice, feels good and stable in the hand, seems good for standing shots once a bit of weight added with a scope, got a good deal part-ex aswell on the bsa r10...so more than likely be orderi g one in the early new year.. Well two of em as My brother-in-law wants one too.....
  8. Wouldn't of thought attaching the pard would make a change to your POI?
  9. Been looking at these but not seen or held one yet as local RFD never has them in for more than a day or so, so after a bit of cold calling today Mcavoy guns have a 2nd hand one Instock so I'm off there tomorrow to have a look and a hold see how it feels in the hand, but still not sure whether 177 or 22!!!, it's for a daytime gun as the hw100 is now dedicated to nighttime.
  10. I seen them, but it's not you ? ?, unless you fancied a change..
  11. Best wishes guys and gals happy hunting for 2019......
  12. Well I got a reply this morning when I got up, so not sure when he got back to me, but he,s apologized for the problem said he,ll look into and check his vernier gauge measurements and rectify as soon as, also I got a full refund of which I wasn't expecting or didnt want tbh, as that wasn't the reason I contacted him,but fair play to the guy, he's told me to keep the mags I purchased, sounds like a sound guy to be honest, his email wasnt as basic as Ive written here, he's gone into a lot more detail......☺
  13. What's wrong with the fiesta my Mrs drives one ? haha, since the work on the mags, I have tried them both today with my jsb heavies and those QYS FT pellets and both mags have worked faultlessly, I have put 3 magfuls through each mag and so far smooth as the originals....
  14. Still tempted to get one of these as a spotter
  15. Phill... I've sent the seller a msg explaining the problem I've had and what I did to rectify it......
  16. Well I know the Infamous words.. Buy cheap buy twice, and yep its true, but I got the mags anyway and the pellets yep were loose, so rather then messing about and sending them back Ive filed the inside down a touch so the o-ring sat lower and had more of a grip on the pellets, well its worked a treat tbh, took my time cleaned all the burrs up and washed the mags make sure there are no bits left and they work fine now, it's not altered the seating of the pellets they now stay in the mag as good as the old mags, stil rotate fine in the rifle and nice and smooth to probe them into the barrel, so
  17. Tried Both jsb heavies and polymag both are loose In the new mags but both fine in the old mags, both pellets give great accuracy even in the new mags the grouping is excellent, just a bit loose for comfort.
  18. PHILL.. what pellets are you using in the 177mags, and what pellets have you tried?, the jsb heavies and Polymags are too loose..... ?
  19. Well, tried the mags and the jsb heavy 4.52 and Polymags are loose in the magazine, the mags fit the mag-well nice and snug they rotate and work with no problem but I think the holes where the pellet seats are a tad to big and as the skirt of the pellets are loose and the o-ring I don't think is sitting low enough, I can shake the pellets out, I tried the o-ring from the old mag but same problem, the recess where the o-ring sits I think is a tad to Shallow, so might have to see if I can make the recess a little deeper as the jsb heavies are very accurate and don't want to start changing pell
  20. Well, got these two 177mags today.. Hopefully get to try them today in the garden, they certainly look well made, if they work as good as the made I,ll be a happy bunny (pardon the pun) ? ?
  21. Good meal coming up and nice bit of shooting... ?
  22. I got a local gunsmith to service my hw100 a while back and as jsb heavies were very accurate I got him to have the jsb heavies to run at 11.5 with a ten shot chrono read out, then he did a 10shot chrono read-out with jsb exact 8.44gr and the reading was 11.2ft/lb and he said you,ll ha e no worried with it ever going over with any pellet..
