    Had that catty Don’t over tighten the jaws with them been metal they pierce the bands causing them to snap and slap you in the face , ( talking from experience) the plastic / resin one that grey man off here shoots is a better catty I had that one too but lost it when bumped in to keeper , ive shot them with bands hanging over the sides a little and we’re fine but it’s better if you get your bands cut to size of top of the forks ,

    I’ve pretty much Give up on rabbits there’s so-little around , getting 5 for a days ferreting would be the norm by me now and you have to work for them ,

    From what I have gathered by reading the traps seem to work better when they have 1/2 to 1 inch of space of the roof of the trap ( when the trap is in unset position ther is 1/2 or 1 inch gap to top of box ) have the trap set side ways so when the squirrel sets of the trap the trap hucks him up hits the top of box and as he comes down the trap jaws get him firmly across the body and behind the neck ,, That's seems to be what I've read about , the taller box set up like the one you put a pic up and the trap set that way don't seem to produce as clean a kill That's what I've read ,

    Suppose it’s how you look at life in general realy , some people mite enjoy shooting a couple squirrel with a catty and a thermal as much as you like hunting with a lamp and dog so they don’t mind spending money on something they enjoy , overkill ?? I no there passed for squirrel but the mk6 passed for rabbit but herd loads story's of rabbits been alive ,ferrets been alive etc etc was thinking trying something different now lads Taken an intrest but if there no good mite not bother and order couple more bmi instead ,

    Took lad last two nights checking traps , don't realy normal use the body grips but dusted them off give them a try in spot where couple squirrel about ,

    I was going to get one as the disco carrot is a pain in arse but to be honest I'll probably pack up the ferrets and stick to lamping once the carrot packs in , not enough rabbits round me to warrant me spending another 250 odd on ferret locators

    To be honest mate if it was for what you’ve just said I’d go full spaniel, the prices are coming down no pick non papers spaniel up 600 .

    Seen 2 or 3 , worked like a spaniel but not as fast , looked like smaller labs , dindnt realy see any benefits from the cross other than not having a spaniel spinning circles or a smaller lab ,
