  1. Tresspass is a civil matter so unless the landowner wants to follow through with prosecutions the police can’t do much where as if you Trespass with a gun it’s technically armed tresspass and no longer a civil matter and the Gards can intervene. That’s as far as I know. But doesn’t matter cause they don’t own a pair of boots don’t mind walk the land the shoot from the road.
  2. Must go lazy, afraid to get their feet wet walking land ...
  3. A mate of mine was in one of his permissions few weeks back now and a fox left in the field where he was shot. They have no respect and looks bad on all of us. We used to put a hell of a lot more foxs out of cover few years ago than we do now that’s for sure. Every Tom, dick and Harry getting given a liscence . I was talking to a lad the other night who told me himself to my face that the only reason he was allowed a rifle liscence from the station was because the guards knew he was coursing hares and couldn’t stop him so they gave him a rifle for rabbits and foxs to stop him coursing... they
  4. Probably get a gang after you and you end up chopped up to pieces the way Dublin is gone ?
  5. You see it every year on the c**ts of pages on Facebook, lads posting pictures of milky vixens...I seen one lad last year commented ‘I’d gladly shoot the last fox in Ireland given the chance’ . Says it all really... was out for a shine the other night and came acros two lads with rifles. And I wasn’t out long.
  6. It’s a sad reality. I personally know of a number of lads round here who shoot a huge number of foxs I’m talking well over 100 and when confronted use the excuse there was always lads shooting foxs and there was always foxs. The same lads went to a local spot night after night and shot over 50 rabbits in a week. It’s a fcuking joke.
  7. How are lads finding fox numbers this year. Up or down? the rifle lads are doing serious damage in my area. Each to their own and all that but 4/5 foxs shot off the roads in a night couple of nights a week most of the year round isn’t going to last. And then night vision aswell... a Few years there will be nothing to hunt.
  8. Whoever the admin is on this will you please kick the people causing the shit on this thread off.. as it’s been said before this is a good thread that a lot of people enjoy and follow and there’s a handful of idiots ruining it and being childish. There clearly not wanted and are contributing negatively. Consider it sooner rather than later before it’s to late and a lot of good folk don’t bother coming on anymore.. just a thought?..
  9. This is a good thread and it’s being ruined by f***ing clowns. Shut up arguing with each other and enjoy the thread or f**k off and leave it alone and let the rest of us enjoy it.
  10. The hunting in Ireland is going like England , another few years and the game will be up. fools f***ing it up and landowners getting less willing to allow lads into the land due to insurance and messers running stock threw fences at night and shite like that. Everyone has to take a picture or a video of what their doing up on social media these days , there's far to much public awareness and heat now and farmers just don’t want the hassle.
  11. the peddlers are the same now as they were at the beggining of the working dog scene your either in it for the money or in it for the dogs.. if your friends with the right lads you wont pay big money if any at all for a dog, things in the past always seem better and a lot of lads seem to look at things through the rose tinted glasses. A lot of the big names in dogs were and still are charging huge fees for pups and stud fees. They were always at it and always will be.
  12. Nice pair, red dogs looks like its seen a bit
  13. Your not the first lads thats mentioned shopping trolley wheels, there meant to be good, i might pay tesco a visit one of the nights?
  14. Where are you located pm me if you like ?
  15. Looking into a slatmill they do two different jobs. What was the shipping like on it mate id say it cost a fair bit to bring in?
  16. has anybody on here built a slat mill before and have a few pics and dimensions of it or know of anyone making them in ireland , not looking for something that is a crazy price.
  17. Its been said already on this thread and its the only answer that is right... money and dogs shouldnt come into the equation, no matter what breed of dog it is from an earthdog to a springer and every type of working dog in between... if you have to look for money off another man with the same interest as you that will give the dog the work well then your at nothing. Some day you might want the favour returned. Its hard enough find decent dogs off good stuff without having to pay stupid money. There will be money after us , it will come and go, as soon as money comes into it greed takes over
  18. Just done a bit of research there nematodes are roundworms where as tape worms are cestodes both of which dogs can suffer from, so maybe it is not effective on tape worms??
  19. Im fairly sure it says on the bottle it kills all gastrointestinal parasites both juvenile and adult so even if there eggs in the gut it will kill that too to prevent worms some dont do that they only kill the worms themselves.
  20. It is the same active ingredient as parazole only its a fraction of the price... fenbedazole is the active ingredient that kills the worms. I gave 3ml today and ill give them 3ml for the next two days.
  21. I bought a 1ltr bottle today in my local agri shop for 24€.
  22. How often do you give it and how much?
  23. Theres not as many true genuine wheaton crosses about, i dont mean yokes with 1/12th wheaton or something very little and they calling it a wheaton cross, if it comes to the time that that said wheaton cross is of a standard to breed off it might be easier to find a bull cross worth breeding off as a lot more of them about. Just a theory i might be wrong ?
