Just been upto spot in the forestry setting up for my boss to take his sons deer hunting. bait was hit hard since we had 3 inches of snow apart from the usual 2 , 3 and 4 points bucks we have either a drunk deer or a break dancing one

a landowner has just contacted me and the pig trapper will be setting up on his land he has a square i think 12ft square cage trap with a 3G cam linked to the electronic trap door. when the pigs enter the trap ( all of the sounder ) the phot goes to his phone and he from home set the trap door off. this should be fun pics to come

Me first batch finished this is well worth making. Cant really taste the gamey goose but the indian spice is enough to say “another cold beer please”

I thinly sliced 2 goose breasts last night and dry marinaded them in the spice mix hung the slices thru the oven racks for a few hours and made some spicy goose breast jerky just tried some and delish need to make more

i had a few snow geese this year but 10% to what i get normally the snows had a bad hatch in the tundra so the adult birds wouldnt decoy so the canadian geese ( honkers ) is what i have been getting,big birds mate,hard to breast out compared to snows. i did get one sandhill crane,sirloin in the sky is the local saying,i wouldnt say it was sirloin

Since i get 100s of geese every year i splashed out on a 2/3hp meat grinder. I clean the geese and the good breast meat gets distributed to low income people i know, i keep a few and the shot breasts are ground up for dog/cat food. just on friday i picked up the slicer. Been after one for years. Cooked up an elk roast sunday and it sliced it perfectly. i have just ran two goose breasts thru it and going to make some jerky

seen 6 saturday morning but didnt even get close enough to take a shot. in the middle of a snowstorm as i type,so booked off this thurs friday as weather is sunny but minus 8c during the day perfect moose weather ( just fckn jinxed meself) fingers crossed got thurs,friday,sat,sun and monday is a holiday here for remembrance day

just done a quick search........cabelas which is 2 hrs away doesnt stock it and i cant find a canadian supplier,not even on amazon.ca this will be a pointless exercise me thinks
