  1. On and on and on no one else here gives a f**k, you guys do get that? ABC - why does someone else shit bother you so much? Jam - why do you continuously argue back with someone who’s clearly never going to drop it?
  2. Is it a big thing in the states putting your name to dogs? Only asking as it doesn’t seem as common here. the second one looks quite leggy, what kind of quarry are you guys using them on? Are there many tight spots to ground ?
  3. Oh aye I wasn’t finger pointing at any sport in particular. But I remember certain folk on here getting good bags places fence jumping and telling everyone else to “head up there, stick a lamp out the window and fill your boots”. Mass pressure like that, on top of weather conditions and disease have knackered the rabbit job. Filling your boots is fine but you can only kill them once and if they are taking a hammering from disease and you then hammer the survivors on the lamp or especially with ferrets over and over you’ll kill them out.
  4. If there’s no rabbits and f**k all foxes it’s going to be a bored moocher. remember when the assembled massive of THL laughed at anyone who said rabbits were going to be hard to find in the future???
  5. That pup has something about it mate. Very nice.
  6. Perfect example right there. Stick to dog talk, we aren’t interested in your petty squabbles. It’s legal to work terriers to a bunch of stuff in your country so go do it and share with us.
  7. You guys do a real good job of confirming a lot of our thoughts and stereotypes of yanks.
  8. You’re right they do get bored and give it up but they do a lot of damage before that, and there’s always some idiot waiting to fill their spot. I keep myself to myself and a very small number of lads I’ve mostly known for a long time. Many of the times I’ve had interactions with other folk outside my little circle, it’s led to drama and hassle. The ban, Facebook, mobile phones etc, have all played their parts, but people are just morons. Youre right there were spots we’d hunted for years, every week, always catching well and never even meeting anyone, let alone getting any hassle. D
  9. What’s worrying is that a lot of folk in the dog game are total muppets. At least with rabbits they can’t make too much noise and mess. They move onto other things and it’s an embarrassment, they make as all look bad! Some very good spots have been ruined after years, by the window lickers.
  10. To be honest DC I think it would be best if every one just gave the game up lol.
  11. Had a bang one day, never was quite right after, got old quick. Died fat and happy on my folks sofa though. Poor old lad had more scars than Frankenstein and was missing a lot of teeth. Greatest character I’ve ever owned though. Probably greatest dog I’ve ever owned. I’d have him back in a heartbeat.
  12. How bad is it going to be for the runners feet? That’s one issue I’ve seen out there. Also how big are the blocks of cover?
  13. Any photos of the ground? That might help convince folk. Sadly my boar hound is pretty much retired lol
  14. No I haven’t so perhaps the ground I’m imagining is different to what it actually is. That was mainly a concern for the running dogs being used. main reason is if hounds arent already hunting boar there is a good chance they will just riot off on fox, deer etc if there are a lot it mixed age sounders then I guess you might bump some of the smaller ones by just pushing cover but anytgung a good size will sit tight, avoid the dogs etc. As you said they are used to getting hunted by hounds that know the score so they are used to avoiding them, and the guns waiting. Also wi
  15. You got a rifle any chance? Takes a bit of effort and some skill killing a lot of daytime foxes with dogs. My nan could rifle them with thermal and night vision.
  16. That shit above is just someone trying to be a hero
  17. 28 in two nights is going to put a fair hole in a population.
  18. Would be interesting to know what kind of acerage he shot that 111 off in a month. That’s averaging almost four a night if he was out every night for 30 nights!
  19. I have limited Experiance of owning bull x’s having owned a total of one, but have been around quite a few, including Lurchers with more bull than running dog. My observation has been that for the most part if socialised well, And trained well, they are pretty well mannered, very laid back and generally easy to be around. However what I have noticed is that if another dog does push their switch, there’s no dancing about, it’s game on. The only fight my two Lurchers have ever had was over a bowl of food I’d forgotten id left in the garden when I let them out one night. Old dog w
  20. This always makes me wonder - what is the point? Shooting foxes with thermal and nv is easy, no real sport, and if it’s poaching it’s Not pest control .... so what’s the compulsion? Genuinely think it’s really weird
