Would it not be a better idea to chrono the gun first, whats the point of 'chucking' in a new spring if it's already powerful enough for the job intended.

I agree with that! My area isn't even on google earth in any decent sort of resolution! Cheers for the link! I'll second that, far more up to date than Google Earth and the resolution is far better for Scotland than Google Earth's offering. Thanks for the link kurgan.

I had to do a Google for ‘FHM’ and wow!!!!!! There are some seriously gorgeous young ladies on the web site. But as for anything else, are you really suggesting anyone would take it seriously???? Even Viz is more convincing. :crazy:

I always thought the 400 used either the Honda engine or Perkins diesel. I'm afraid the engine in question will be beyond repair, as said before it's most likely an oil cooler pipe or turbo oil feed pipe that has let all the oil go. I'm very surprised you did not notice the oil light come on though tina/kev/sky/ace/tug

So...what has the gunsmith suggested who found this disaster? Perhaps a re-bore...Hornet it .22 so try boring the barrel out to .222 or .223, and .223 ammo is cheap as well, ask the gunsmith. -

Very interesting lauren and welcome to the site, however since it is a hunting site, can i ask you what hunting your involved with, do you have dogs, do you shoot etc etc???? Blimey!! I'm surprised any clay club opened today, we did'nt bother, where did you go mate. I had a couple of hours crow shooting, over run with the damn things here.

Mine is 11.6ft.lb using AirArms Hunter pellets. It's standard, no tuning done and has had over 15000 pellets through it.

Superb guns, with probably the best open sights available. The only thing I find a bit off is the safety, bit difficult to use until you get used to it.
