  1. Hi all, I want to preserve some pheasant/partridge wings to use on my dummies but in the past they always go horrible after a few months. Is ther any thing I can treat them with to preserve them that wont harm the dog?? Hope someone can help.
  2. thanks all, now on the case of some of these lighter bullets to try!!! Ps to all the people who were negative about the hornet you should go and try one!! I love it !!!!
  3. Hi all, only posted a couple items so would like some advice on a this! Just got my new Cz 527 (.22hornet) and chose 45gr winchester super x as my first bullets ( i'm fairly new to this and not yet into homeloading nor really have time toget into it!) Have researched a bit and spoken to a few few friends in the know and they reckon i ought to try one oif the lighter weight bullets i.e 35 gr ballistric tip. I can see from the ballistic tables that these fly flatter and have less velocity but has anybody any opinions! Ps want to use to thin out a few hares and foxes!!
  4. Hi all, Just acquired a remington 552 speedmaster had it out a few times and all seems well but think I really should clean it !!!!! Has any one got a copy of a manual on pdf as would be quicker and easier tha f**ting bout asking remington for one . Many thanks
  5. Thanks all for your comments. To answer your comments the rifle is about 25 yrs old so current thoughts are that i'm gonna stick with the .22 hornet as a calibre. So looks like a brand new cz comin home, shoot it with factory ammo for now then look at home-loading( will be back for more tips on that one I think?) Once again thank you all.
  6. Welcome all im new to this melarcky. Just wondered if any one has any views on this. I recently inherited a cz .22 hornet, got all the variation sorted and collected it to find the rifle in a really mucky condition soi took it straight to my gunsmith for a good service only to be told that the rifling is buggered half way down the barrel. Now in two minds whether to go and buy new .22 hornet or get another variation and go for a .17hmr. Any views / comments greatly appreciated. Thanks
