    They are as good as you are, if you are accurate enough to hit a rabbit, squirrel or pigeon etc in the head at 10 yards the catapult will kill it. if you cant shoot as well as that do NOT hunt with it. You will also need to use either lead or steel ball bearings and NOT stones. You can use the steel 9mm BBs but they are really too light for hunting, lead is better but you have to make your own which is a pain. For practice, until you are good enough to hunt, hang a sheet up as a back stop. Make sure there are a few folds on the groung to catch the ammo ang put a target up in front. Once yo

    Sorry mate but i wouldnt touch anything from SMK with a bargepole So you've used one in the field have you mate? Not being cheeky, but I didn't ask if you would have one personally. I have an XS79 and for the money it can't be knocked, it's deadly accurate, quiet and very light. The XS20 is a good gun, bit twangy but does the job just fine. Most people who knock SMK haven’t even seen one let alone used one.

    Excellent bit of kit at a bargain price. Just remeber to clean it and dry it well after each use, and I apply a drop of veg oil to the cutter and screen just to keep it sweet.

    My personal choice, just a guide. DTL and ABT = 3/4 and full Skeet = 1/2 and 3/4 Sporting = 1/4 and 1/2 As for wildfowling it depends on load.

    as you say most people who go pigeon shooting go out to shoot wood pigeons and if any one cant tell the difference between the two shouldnt be allowed to own a gun let allowed to use it ,and also the rspb have installed false nest sites for peregrines [fact] and just look at the decline in song birds and say its natural balance if all pigeon men /women kept there pigeons in when the peregrines are breeding half of them would starve to death as they wouldnt find enough food to feed there young i find that utter bullshite there "just look at the decline of song birds"! song birds get taken
