  1. Sad for you mate. R.I.P. Zak
  2. Don't know mate but I'd get some E45 cream for those hands Cheers, D.
  3. I think I'd spot a dogs eye from a mile away anyhow. Depends which way it's facing
  4. Gun dogs are dogs for people who shoot. Terriers and lurchers do all the graft and don't need somebody with a gun to help them finish the job. Simples Cheers, D.
  5. Of course you are entitled to your opinion but why are 'proper dog men' either terriers or lurchers when Gundogs are trained to a higher standard.......this imo obviously...
  6. Only a problem if your poaching and some one is shining a lamp to try and find you when your hiding from them
  7. They are "read" by a computer anyway, so what you put in in is immaterial. For religion I put in JEDI, which I did 10 years ago, believing that if enough people put the same, it will be an option on the next census form. Load of bollox as it didn't happen after an internet campaign back then. Bit worried though as I did mine and dated it a week before I should have. Hey ho, there you go. Cheers, D.
  8. Put plenty of time, effort and put enough stuff in front of it and it well be OK. FCUK the "experts" on here. ATB with your pup mate. Not saying Hancocks are the best ever lurchers but there are a lot worse bred lurchers out there. If it suits you mate, thats all it needs to do! It probably won't be a 5/5 hare killer but hey, dog snobbery, what a load of shite. Cheers, D.
  9. 36 PAGES SO QUICKLY, DEFFO AN EMOTIVE SUBJECT !!!!! (sorry caps lock was on) Proper dog men, either terriers or lurchers, the ones that shout loudest, say the least. I rest my case. Cheers, D.
  10. A dog is for life, IMO. Although I have not always been of that opinion. As I have got older my opinions have changed. In my 20's a dog was a "tool" and I have got rid if they weren't doing it to my expectations. I appreciate the bonding that a dog and it's owner should have and am pleased to say that now my 4 dogs will be with me till they are not able to enjoy the quality of life they now have. Cheers, D.
  11. :notworthy: :notworthy: To the tune of "The wild rover" I went to an ale house I used to frequent I met (insert name of latest Burnley manager) his money all spent He asked me to play, I answered him nay, Cos I hate Burnley b*****ds till my dying day and its no nay never, no nay never no more will we play Burnley b*****ds, no never, no more. :notworthy: :notworthy: Cheers, D.

  17. Sad for you. R.I.P. Remus
  18. Absolutely spot on! Cheers, D.
  19. Telling porkies, thats the best dog in your kennels :toast: Only kidding Cheers, D.
  20. Good advice but road walking won't help a nettled belly Cheers, D.
  21. Spot on. i totally agree, a few dogs on here are too fat. Your dog looks in great shape and fit, the way they should be looking. , credit to you and well done on the bunny's. The dog "looks" very lean and he may or not be in good condition. Surely ANYBODY who knows a bit about lurchers should be expecting comments being posted regarding the look of the dog after seeing that pic. Some dogs are like that I know but whatever you say, that dog does not look in great shape and fit.
