    Best Wishes to her and you Jimmy ,at times like these family is everything ,a hug and a cuddle are some of the best medicine you can give .I lost my eldest granson in January to a motorbike accident and the pain is still horrendous .First christmas without him ,Daughters dreading it but as a family we are all doing our best to keep it happy for the other kids .     Drowned last night 3 and half hours and a no show fox had the brains to stay in and throw another log on the fire .All dog food gone ,either washed away or eaten by a fat bugga during the day .Went at 9 as weather LIARS said no rain till midnight Of course totally wrong ,10 oclock wallop ,sheltered where i could but after getting wetter than the Titanics swimming pool i swam home through the flood waters .Frustrated dont cover it

    It,s done 10 deer with myself and 3 foxes ,previously came from Geordieland ,its a 1987 ,1200 safari in .243 and its had a fair few down the zeroing range at Sussex and Garlands near here .My sling snapped and my previous scope a Simmons lost an argument with the fence it hit .Out by about 12 ft and the reticule now is a double so a Leupold vx1 now does the beans .I love it £200 screwcut ,delivered to my rfd .Atec Maxim mod and a Chinese Tourbon comb raiser that actually works atb

    Trip last Saturday to West Sussex in that evil storm,flooded roads,crazy winds . The usual warm welcome and off out to be dropped in a high seat.3o mins later saw a little white bum ,bins up it's a Roe buck Doe and fawn . Shot the fawn ,nice size Doe and waited but the other Doe didn't return to her fawn .Green out ,healthy gralloch . Back to the Bothy, fawn in the chilled and bald bloke to local for a nice nosh. 5am already up ,tea and biscuits meet the other guests and out .Unsuccessful hour in a different seat and off on foot to see a massive buck 10m away.     Close in cz452 in .22l/r using cci segs with a Pard nv007 on a Hawke Vantage ,ideal in woodlands from about 30yds away ,does the fox and shattering on impact lessens the chance of richochet . If its the "motorway " a long field crossed by many on their way from the Local deer estate to the big woods then its P/H 1200 safari in .243 as its the classic rising backstop in the middle of nowhere .Again Pard NV 007 but scope is a Leupold VX1 .     Stinking pilchards ,orrible smell and they do have a good sense of stink mr Reynard does.Also rabbits with its guts hanging out ,but peg it down so he has to rag it in place rather than run off with it . I,m trying that nasty Webbox dog food in the tubes a friend uses it ,but its in the car for a couple of days to go really runny and stinky its drawn 2 in so far so maybe worth a look atb
