  1. I spray with dettol solution if he is bad. If not just a clean off when home with a natural shampoo stuff my missus got for cleaning oil off my hands. Can find the name of it if you want
  2. Ok mate that sounds good. Will PM you to sort something out.
  3. I don’t mind travelling too much mate. If you are moving sheds would be worthwhile for a bit of a laugh. Let me know closer to the time and if I’m free I’ll see if I can get down. Only got one dog
  4. When are you thinking about doing it mate?
  5. Looks like you have plenty of action there Treehands! Great fun!
  6. We were in a pile of shit, literally. The whole place was moving with what looked like miniature woodlice - everytime we turned something over we could see them moving. The fleas could have been there from before but I doubt it as I keep on top of them pretty well, that and he live indoors so would have noticed I think.
  7. Hi, Looking for some advice about how to clean a dog in the field after ratting. Last night dog was covered in mites and fleas - would diluted dettol sprayed on after we have finished stop this? If not, what do you guys use? Looking for a way to clean dog while in the field before heading home. Ed
  8. King - I'll be setting something like that up this weekend! Be sure to scare the shit out of anyone there who shouldn't be there.
  9. Great footage, just sent it to my pal who has a staffie for ratting!
  10. Ok mate. Just wondering that's all, I cut mine short but leave it longer than yours. Just because I assumed it would give slightly more protection. One of the places we have is a pile of pig shit/ green waste, he stinks after digging about in that! Ed
  11. Pud - I think that is your westie? Do you clip the coat? If so, why? Just interested as I would have thought a slightly longer coat would be able to take a bite better? Ed
  12. Looks like he has grown lots griffgav! Should be ideal for what you want!
  13. Hi, I'm looking for a level wind part (the guide bit) for my old Abu 7000 synchro. Does anyone have a good supplier of reel spares? Ed
  14. Deadeyes - I work 5 mins from Colchester zoo. Who supplies them with meat? Pm if preferred.
  15. Hi Jiggy, I have been offered some free eggs, that's what prompted me to rethink about doing it this year. I think I will have a go, what's the worst that can happen!
  16. Thank you for your insight and help! My plan was to incubate them and let them run with my chickens.... From your advice I think I will have to think of another plan!! I know where I can get young turkeys from but I doubt they have been vaccinated etc. I will have a search around and see what I can source. Thank you,
  17. Thanks Jiggy - do they struggle to get out of their shells? Or are they similar to pheasants in that it seems they just want to die? Thanks for your help, eggs I can get are Norfolk bronze, lavender slate or a mixture of the two.
  18. Thanks for the advice, at least it's not too late to try this year! I will try and find out what sort of turkeys they are. I have two different people offering them to me so will have a think. They will be fed on organic stuff they find, constant chicken layers pellets and corn.
  19. Hi, I wanted to do some turkeys for Christmas, but other things got in the way. I still want to do it but need some advice: Am I too late to start incubating them in the next couple of weeks if I want them for Christmas? Can they live with chickens? Is there anything else I should know before I try it? Ed
  20. I guess if there is a young lad out there with a young pup someone could always invite him out to get some dirt on the bank? Then he will have more experience and education into what he is hopefully getting a dog for. Chances are the lad will have a better bond with this dog than most due to the care it has needed to get it through the first couple of weeks.
  21. Rabid - let me know if you are planning on moving any sheds soon. A mate and I will travel down for a crack at it and a laugh. Pm if preferred, Ed
  22. Well as I have pre paid for them my thoughts are that I might as well have the boosters every year. Also in the price is a check up every 6 months - not necessary really as I would like to think I would know if there was something up with the dog
