  1. If it’s one of these types the pin inside breaks it’s plastic holder and the trigger just stays back, if you take the side cover off and drill a hole through were the pin goes then put a nut and bolt right through, you can give it a bit more welly and save an otherwise useless clamp, I,ve broke a few with my passion hands , ?
  2. If you weren’t so far off mate I,d gladly move you, good luck and FairPlay to you, still life in an old dog, grab it with both hands ??
  3. That statement, you will be dead before your 40 was something I heard a lot as a kid from various teachers, but it stuck with me all my life and now I,m pushing 60 I have a very different outlook on life because of it, I have very little fear including death and look at every day as a bonus which is quite a nice way to live, sounds like your teachers came from the same mould as mine ?
  4. When I go out with my mates and sit round a table, it looks like a dozen eggs ?
  5. I do have a couple of Aldrich traps as mentioned above, which is what they use to catch and tag or remove cats, grizzly and wolves in country,s they are native, but it’s a bit of a vicious circle, as they are not recognised in this country you would be breaking the law trapping them, ???which makes the Aldrich a very interesting add on to the permitted uk traps, basically without going into to much detail the uk government changed the wording and reasons for this to be used in the uk when they employed someone to capture big cats, not wishing to open a can of worms re conspiracy,s etc but it’s
  6. My new neighbour popping round for a bit of ?
  7. Have not been to a barbers since they used to sell durex in plain brown paper bags, had a mop of curly hair as a youngster and a pair of clippers for the last 35 years easier to keep clean and saves me looking like crusty the clown if it got long ?
  8. Quite a bit mate, even got myself a couple that were previously owned by the man that was employed by MAFF now called DEFRA to use them in the uk, he sadly passed away in a routine operation in hospital, as he sounded like a really interesting individual that I would have liked to have met, but alas it also throws up more questions than answers, like why they needed to employ someone to trap large non indigenous predators in the uk if there was nothing here to trap, I think it’s going to be a slow trickle of evidence rather than a big announcement from the authorities that finally gets accepte
  9. Yes mate she was the girl that lost her arm, the former owners of Dartmoor zoo are also in it and one of the soldiers from the Bodmin stake out that actually opened fire on one , mat has done a good job gathering some good people like the guy that done the first deer survey in the FOD with thermal and caught two cats as well, the government were very close to admitting it when that happened but it quickly became tomorrow’s chip papers as the saying goes, and just fizzed out ?
  10. You could well be right, Ross Kemp is doing a program at the moment about dangerous animals legally owned in the uk, and they recon there are 40,000 dangerous animals in private collections in the uk, certainly a few will disappear either accidentally or deliberately, but the big problem for me,is the difference in behaviour between escapees and naturalised animals, if you track the sightings, kills and other coincidental evidence animals are clearly moving in a manor that indicates a territory, were as an escapee tends to go a little bit mad when it gets in a flock of sheep etc and goes on a
  11. And in just a few hours it’s now snowing wtf ?
  12. I know there are people that are actually interested, I don’t do Facebook or whatever but if anyone is interested the documentuary I think must be due for release soon as there are a few bits coming up on YouTube ??
  13. Own the table cloth, nothing is new it’s just reinvented, give it 10 years and you will be the envy of the neighbourhood with that piece of retro cloth
  14. There is a lot more in the world of employment than just working for the man, I am employed for the first time in my working life, and I got the job by writing my phone number on a bit of paper and dropping it in local businesses, the local boatyard phoned me up asked me to go in for a chat and gave me the start, I have started and ran several businesses during my working life, I have zero qualifications but a willingness to work and a decent accountant to sort out the bits I can’t get my head round, if your willing to graft you will always find employment somewhere,
  15. Quick question, does the tempature have an effect on crays, I,ve not seen any sign of them but have been told they are in the canal I,m on so stuck the pot out this weekend but so far nothing, so was wondering if it’s just a bit to cold ??
  16. Lots here this morning just took the dogs out for a quick toilet walk and the swallows are ducking and diving in and out the boats, will try for some pics later ???
  17. I was the exact same mate, should have been given a trade at 12 as the next 4 years were a total waste of my life, I can watch someone on you tube rebuild an engine and follow suite but if I tried read about it I will be there a month and still be none the wiser ??

  19. Saw my first swallows of the year this morning, happy days ??
  20. Funny that they use Hempel there as well I also anti foul cruisers and some people like to spend a bit more and buy there own, the pressure washer is a bit of a beast 4000 psi, will take you off your feet if you haven’t planted yourself, all the boats are coated in zebra mussels and it blows the lot off rust paint and mussels ?
  21. Tonight’s chicken curry ??
  22. Started working in the local boatyard two weeks ago, just pressure washing and painting the underwater parts of the boats, anyways something I never realised and always assumed they come from a warm sea environment, but there are actually sponges growing on the bottom of canal boats, here are a few of the better ones I picked up last week, pretty cool I thought??
