The black ones came from the Malay peninsula mostly for the pet trade its a wooded environment as opposed to a savannah grassland type and black is better in the shadows as camo roll forward 4/5 generations of home grown cats would the black not blend in to our wooded environment better than spots hence they are now totally dominant here and before folk go mental it’s just a theory to explain a situation not any facts involved
