Misses been out all day and I’ve been stuck in due to the rain couple of little walks with the dogs but got a little bored so put my chefs hat on and done salt and chilly pork belly crushed jersey royals with black pepper garlic salt and melted cheese plus a nice side salad well chuffed

We’re do you keep your boat mate is it in water or do you trailer it,? I had a cruiser for 12 years before buying the ship used to love it, it was the last dawncraft ever made if I never had a misses could have happily lived in it was 34 ft long centre cockpit bit of a handful in the wind was the only downside especially as it’s always windy here as I’m next to the Severn estuary

I suspect you are one of the few on here that is still out there actively doing it and travelling to some fantastic places seeing what’s real meeting real people and deep down you know my case is 100% credible I therefore rest my case lol

My iPad is old and on its last legs so I can’t access or upload anything from the podcast mate but maybe take a look on the refs and links section can’t be certain but expect Rick may have uploaded a few more of the images he has and I agree the thermal tech is the answer my mate has a drone that can pick up and I’d most things at night cost thousands but I will be investing in the same kit once I have retired and have all my stuff in order am taking a slight step back this year as I have a lot going on this but if everything goes to plan next year I will be full time with all the gear

Alright mate just took the dogs out for a pee this morning was going to take a picture of a pair of cormorants nesting at the entrance but as usual they fecked off every time I take my iPad over anyways noticed all these popping up in the grass assuming it’s all this fracking rain we are having, question A what are they and B are they edible cheers

That is a very good point mate and I believe that in areas high in sightings there are people that convince themselves because they want to see one but they are not in the majority it can also work in reverse, people that can’t accept they are wrong will convince themselves and others this is a black lab

Mate last year there was thermal images put up on here that I know are 100% a mountain lion, then the fat twat Fox dropper pops up and says fox never bothered going to the podcast to look at the scaling that was done by an expert just shouts things down until the discussion is ended, the guy that got those images has since gone out and spent even more on thermal kit and has now managed to capture them mating, they are at a reasonable distance and could be seen as something else but as the male is circling the female and mounting her several times in short bursts not back to back like a canid t

Even in country’s they are known to exist like the states estimated 30 000 mountain lions you would struggle to get a picture with 50 cameras trail cams are not as easy as you think they get dew frost and fog on the lense branchstwigs and grass trigger them flattening the battery’s every now and again you will get lucky but then there is the thefts I’ve lost 3 cams already this year two on private land I have permission to be on one in a publi c wood,

Simple answer in India dogs are not kept like ours over hear and we are absolutely lifting with deer that are loosing there natural survival instincts and just wandering around unafraid of things, I think the deer explosion has had a massive impact on the cat phenomenon

Nice thread Leo sorry not popped in for a bit, I do like a sling bow as you know I have made a few mainly because it’s a lot more discreet than wandering around looking like Robin Hood in a country lifting with antis, and goody goody’s never had a shop bought one but the old Diablo is a real easy conversion would love to get me a pig with one like you say 15/20 metres it’s proper hunting the real skill is getting close to your quarry quite fancy making a starship version as they make quite a lot more power than a normal catty

Sorry mate never saw your question I actually believe there are a lot more than the guesstimates from what I have seen there are a lot more mountain lions I think simply because they don’t stand out like the black ones so don’t get reported as often, as populations get bigger they should be easier to track as territory’s will get smaller think from what I saw Cumbria has quite a reasonable amount, I met an old fella up there well into his 80s still follows stag hounds and even travels down to exmoor for it he has hunted leopards in India many moons ago and really new his shit recons he finds p

Mate I strongly urge you to do your own research before getting on the statin bandwagon doctors have become salesmen for unscrupulous pharmaceutical company’s , been reading a lot about increase risk of Alzheimer’s as your brain is 20% cholesterol and doctors are pumping you full of cholesterol lowering drugs again you don’t need a phd to work out the outcome and as you well know Alzheimer’s is a massive cash cow
