  1. Yea I love it here, you can spend years travelling here and never get to see it all, it's massive. I went back home for a few month ( Scotland ) seen a bit of it, to bloody cold ha ha
  2. Thanks Bird mate, Hard to beat a good whippet or x for the bunny's, yea I like them around 22 big enough for what I do these days the other dogs can handle the bigger stuff when needed.

  4. Fleet 3/4 whippet 1/4 Deerhound D.O.B 28/1/2018 For those who are following Fleets journey, here is a few snippets of yesterdays video from part 1 of Ferreting Fred's more in part two once I edit it. He is handy enough. ?
  5. No shortage around my area, more than I can handle thats for sure. Move to Australia! where the rabbits are faster but so are the dogs ?
  6. Fred's paddock Haven't been to Fred's for awhile, thought it was about time to go back and take a look, another great day to be out and about, getting a few rabbits is always a bonus.

  9. Out and about again, took out the three dogs, the old brigade and a couple of young ferrets to a local spot, fantastic day again to be outdoors and managed to get a few rabbits in the process. Life is good.
  10. Me too as a kid I used to feed bread and milk, now I know better.
  11. Sad news mate, they are part of the family here so I know how you feel. It sucks!
  12. I get a couple back every year for one reason or another, I only ask they drop them off cages aren't a problem for me, I always have a wait list for mine so they go as soon as they come back especially this year, not sure why but demand far out weighing supply
  13. Nice looking mutt gl with it
  14. I paid no attention to that bs, Government, you are not allowed to have pit bulls, me
  15. Milk is a NO NO unless it's goats milk and only as a treat, ferrets are lactose intolerant Chicken, pheasant, Pidgeon are fine too any red meat I dont feed them pork watch this it tells you what I feed mine.
  16. First litter for 2020 born 2/11 Trixie's first litter and so far a very good mum, she is from grace's line and is a full sister to stumpy ( The one I lost this year ) she also has a stumpy tail.
  17. Steve brought his Doe's up from Avoca to breed with spike, Steve will take a couple of mine and I will keep two of the offspring between his doe's and spike will be good to see how they go.
  18. I'm blessed to live where I live, get to see this game every other day and starts straight out the back gate, got to admit it is fun to watch when in range to see it.
  19. Just my opinion and they will vary 600 x 1.5 meters should be ok bit small for my liking but adequate, if you are letting them out or working them should be fine, I have never kept ferrets inside and never will ? I will say the bigger you can manage the better for them obviously and ferrets love company, keep in mind weather you intend to breed or not and do some research into what is required if keeping more than one. I would imagine it would be a pretty lonely existence for a ferret kept alone for a lifetime, ferrets like any pet are a commitment and not one that should be undertaken without
  20. Only pocket money mate. Used to be, better money in roos now for pet food
  21. Make a tent frame from square steel tube cover it with water proof material, wouldn't take up any extra room and the cages will stay bone dry and warmer, just move it aside in summer if its to hot. Just an idea.
  22. Just a bit of information in response to some questions I get asked regularly.
  23. Shit news sorry for your loss at least he went doing what they love.
