  2. i can see where your coming from phil ill be using them for crow bashing safe to say they will do a fox but you'll still have to be at a decent range! atb si

  4. your not wrong!! there pricey little feckers too...15quid for 200
  5. Cheers Si, I'll give that a whirl These hornets are nasty little things with their brass tips. They'd be devastating if they were more accurate. I've tried both calibres in a fair few rifles and, they're usually all over the place. But, this S10 seems to have a few surprises for me. I'll try them at different ranges and see how they get on those ftt i washed and lubed changed poi to the same as the pre lubed accupell it defiantly makes a difference not using me glasses at the moment, didn't notice they had brass tips!! lol atb si
  6. If I ever wear a onesie I hope someone from this forum is good enough to do their civic duty and come to Swindon and euthenise me haha.... my thoughts exactly you might be able to pull it off in Scotland though!
  7. might have to give the hornets a blast jon been out this morning the weather was sh!te so i didn't hang about long but the accupels dropped a crow no prob at about 40yrd first time I've ever used them for hunting! take a few out of the tin and give them a light spray of oil.. see if it makes any difference atb si
  8. rez the nurse good to see you and the rapid back out nice shooting atb si

  10. Ah yes, a wee snifter to warm the cockles. My grandad swore by his old hip flask. I remember sharing a nip of his brandy when I went with him to check his snares one January morning. I think I was about 8yrs old I don't do do very well with alcohol in the cold - I'd be leaving scent marks around my permission all night my nan use to give me brandy and warm water when i was a kid to make me puke!! its ruined me for nights out now
  11. Yeah it's got to be riot proof with my kids:) They have been good in most things I've had, but they usually only reach the 11 lbs mark! I'm happier with them at 11.5 Atb si
  12. thought id try washing the standard fft and lubing them.. so did it make any difference!! yes nothing too major but it'll make a definite difference at far range 50m not sure if this is the proper pellet stuff but i gave them a light spray after i dried them so ten shot sting centre and 10 shot crono a/v fps 776 lo 772 hi 778 a/v ftlbs 11.51 lo11.40 hi 11.58 the first 2 shots ruined a one hole group cos the next 8 didn't touch the sides, i could of done an other string but it is a true test! so prepping is worth it if you can be arsed to do it.. but a tin of pre preped under
  13. I'm with steg mark don't give up get it fixed... once its replaced it'll last ages!! that airsport i fixed up had a plastic piston head that had swollen.. you could hardly cock it! i gave it a shave with the dremil and its sound now! atb si
