  1. Talking to a mate tonight we have 50+ racing pigeons coming our way the owner having a clear out he said he can't give them away live as they just come back to his loft,so looks like my stinkers are going to have feather lined nests for a while
  2. I believe they just drop off soon after they die.
  3. Yeah mine wasn't interested at shows this year.
  4. This CMW there's an article all about walking to heel, and as socks has said its basic training but this tw*t Just thinks he knows best.
  5. Out of interest how is your dog bred? Not a clue to be totally honest I know a few of the dogs involved but basically he's lurcher to lurcher I have paperwork showing his ancestry he has some sires on both sides I think they are the old bloodline ? He looks like my bearded half cross and he's an absolute pain in the arse that's why I asked. Your right about the pain in the arse bit, forgot to say on previous post he is one of Jeff Burrells dogs. Think a bitch might have been easier.
  6. That's the kind of control I'm after with current dog, have had that with terriers no problem they all seemed much easier to train.

  8. Thank you skycat, I will give him a call.
  9. Yes mate lead is up high behind ears when walked
  10. Some pictures of this lead set up for anyone that wants to know
  11. Thanks for that kind I thought I had expert help around me But thinking about it
  12. I wish all he wants to do is hunt up. I have put the hours in will walk to heel until he goes into gaze mode then he gone ruled by his heart. This lead set up has stopped him lunging for any and everything. Think I took wrong advice and had him out ferreting at 4 months. I should have trained to good standard then introduced him to work.
  13. This is same just rope lead over head twist and put over muzzle nothing fancy
  14. Anyone else using this set up has sorted mine right out these past few days my shoulder feels much better now. Even stopped him pulling me across the green when he saw Charlie, he don't like it but has made my life easier while lead walking.
  15. Surprised you can keep ferrets didn't think they would be classed as indigenous. Interesting the cats not eating them, must be a different bird over here they are a real pest to all our song birds, and farmers sheep stock particularly during lambing.
  16. Seems very cheap to me mate,I use a fella called Roland if you google Mitzi heads he might be able to help very knowledgeable on these engines. Good luck
  17. Yeah hadn't thought about freezing them that would be to kill any bacteria they might be carrying would it ? They also have had crows and pigeons Not frozen but freshly killed.
  18. Past few weeks my ferrets have been eating magpies they seem to really enjoy them. What do you reckon good or bad
  19. Just gave mine a spray with cold water they loved it.
  20. between 5 and 10 grand I'd say so I think if some travels up and down the country seeking the best blood to put back to his line of dogs makes them worth the money he charges It's only worth what someone's willing to pay I dont think that money's unfair for those that are happy to pay it to some £400 is a good Saturday night lol I've spoke to this Jeff a few times what I didn't like was when he told me he had a waiting list for people after his dogs and that he jumps people in front that he thinks deserves them haha I said if he's got a waiting list why advertise them in cmw he soon dodged
