  1. Got half a tin (100) of AA diabolo heavies in .22 if anyone would like to try them. All in good nick. Happy to help.
  2. Lol you bunch of twats! Body shot in front of front right leg, exit top behind left front leg, except it didn't exit, was held captive under the skin. Lead microchip ;-)
  3. I thought .177s only sold because people are sputniks who can't grasp mildots or only shoot up to 40m?
  4. The day you see more quarry than you know what to do with, you won't have your rifle-accept it. ;-) Luckily I pegged it back home and grabbed the TX and got one of them! Buggers... JSB exact jumbo 20m standing unsupported 6x Squirrels 2 Pheasants 2 Woodies 3
  5. I think there is an average point of impact that takes in all your input. That's what I zero on. Especially when standing. I don't care where the barrel is pointing. As long as after the shot hits its on target that's my approach. So if I'll be shooting standing I knock it down a few inches.
  6. Got the new TX200 on Friday and its rained and blown a gale since. So today i got out in the gale and had a contest with the lady, damn nearly lost too. Lol! Here's the groups @30metres standing supported against post. Damn close!
  7. Another possibility is firing from a different position. If I zero standing rested and then shoot standing unsupported my shots hit 3 inches high. :-)
  8. That is very nice mate! Very nice. I'll suck it up with my new TX .22 though. Any nice new gun has that Christmas present feel. :-) Have fun getting used to it!
  9. PS that was with RWS super domes first pellet to test. Didn't have time to try my jsb's or AA's.
  10. Thanks for the gesture Mac! I've got 30acres to keep me fed ;-) Just got out with it, 3x5 pellet groups before the rain came again. It is shockingly good! Bit heavy, bit fat, but the best group says it all out the box. (And yes I squeaked when I walked out) 30metres standing unsupported.
  11. It feels so good! Oh man. I'm excited beyond belief. Thanks for the kind words everyone.
  12. New .22. and haven't fired it. It's raining! Typical.
  13. Haven't shot any bunnies. But up to the ranges us mere mortals shoot at. Anything is going to put a hole in a rabbit. The real question is what's the best way of getting that hole in a kill zone. From my limited experience. PS in my sub £200 rifle AA diabolo hunters (pointed) grouped the best out to 40m. After I spent £ and a week solid testing tins of JSB exact, RWS Superdome, AA diabolo field, AA diabolo field Heavy, accupels, etc. What ever let's you put the pellet on the target is the answer.
  14. Except it has a hole in the stock. Vandalism!!!
  15. From searching the forums it seems we were not cocking it hard enough. Only the bear trap was engaging. And releasing the BT with safety not engaged = decocking. Bugger! Gimme that .177 back! Thanks for your kind words Vdub
  16. I'll take it please fella. Please box it up nicely. I'll chuck a few more quid in for Bubble wrap. Thanks! Pm coming your way
  17. When I say the bear trap saved me, I mean it was broken and saved me from buying the .177 ;-) Basically, when you pressed the bear trap to release the cocking lever after loading a pellet. It would come under spring tension and decock the rifle. I haven't seen the walthers. It's gotta be a TX mate! ;-)
  18. Lol misses would kill me if I came home with a finger missing OR a .177
  19. I went into a new gunshop having a look for a TX200 and they had a new one .22 (bit pricey) which I wanted. And a 2nd hand one scoped up at a great price! In .177. So I ponder for a few minutes and ask to put a few pellets through the .177 nearly already committed to buying it. Anyway, 1st shot fine (love that trigger!!) Second shot fine Third reload and I catch the under lever fully loaded luckily as I release the bear trap. Try it again, cock it same thing. Gun guy says I'm gonna save you, and take this off sale. It's faulty. I said thanks, you saved me from buying a .177 ther
  20. Thanks everyone for your kind words. The barrel hasn't been cleaned. As I don't know how to take it off. :-) Going to have a look at TXs now. PS just to add: the left hand targets were at 30m standing supported and the right hand targets were at 40 metres standing supported. Going for the tacks.
