    JSB make AA pellets albeit with Air Arms own molds although I believe they use the same lead / additives so you should be fine with JSB Jumbo Exact which is basically the same pellet. I tested AA vs JSB some years ago in .25 for my Impact fac and found a slight difference but once adjusted on the scope, it was just like using JSB as I went the other way round due to product availability with JSB in that cal at that time.     Anodising will not change the colour Jimmy, it is a process done to the surface of the metal ie, to turn a high polished finish into a matt finish or at least that is the only application I am aware of. Perhaps cerakoting is a better bet as you can have what colour you want or gun blue/black is another way Jimmy. Phil

    Yes I did sell it and you are right it would have been ideal as he used it a couple of times and did quite well with it. SMK do a cheapo bolt action rifle for about £200 but I cannot remember what the model is and I have a couple of small scopes so that would be a good little starter. My grandson is very slightly built and not so strong which is why I thought of these guns because he cannot hold a rifle still or anything close so a rest will be needed but at least it would get him started as they are very light in weight.

    Right chaps, my 9 year old grandson is badgering me for a pcp rifle. I have had him using a lovely little Daisy model 16 that Jimmy refurbed for me but he likes using my pcp, I am afraid that I now no longer have a sub 12 and an fac is not really suitable for garden plinking nor safe so I was thinking about one of these Chinese jobs from SMK as an entry level and he will only be able to use it with me so not every day. If anyone has anything they would like to sell (cheaply) please let me know so I can consider the outcome. Phil

    He must be keen Jimmy as that gravel does not look comfortable to lay on. Nice to see him so involved. You can buy some of those exploding discs they put on clay pigeon to give a good show when they are hit.

    Good kayaks Tim, if yours has the wheel in the keel, just be a little careful as they can break at the axle. I used to get kayaks sent to me for testing and review writing and in fact I had the Moken 10, 12 and 14 fishing kayaks from them so I can say the Moken 12 / 12.5 was my favourite. I set up the UK team for Jackson Kayaks from USA which again were brilliant kayaks and the 14' Cuda I kept, I fitted with a Torqeedo 1hp electric motor which was fantastic. If you are going to fit anchor trolley or fish finder and not to sure about fitting, just let me know and I will talk you through it Tim

    Welcome on board Jerry. Another Impact lookalike which I don't think is brought into the UK but it sounds like it does a great job for you. Starlings are protected in the UK although I dont know why as they are a bloody pest and I would love to have them back on the list but that will not happen. It will be interesting to see what you get up to on that side of the pond so feel free to join in.     I used to do a lot of kayak fishing both at sea and freshwater which I loved, still have one small surf kayak but as I get further into old fartdom, I don't use it anymore in fact I need to see about selling it. I also really fancy an e-bike, the naughty ones that will run without pedaling, fully folding with chunky tires so I could use it on the farms or reaching some of my distant fishing marks along the shoreline.     We are on the same page Jimmy, if the gun is like yours or the Impact from the factory, that is one thing but I am talking about people buying shit to make their guns look more like a military weapon and that I think is crazy in my mind. Phil
