  2. the way i look at it i work for a living to earn my keep the dogs are my hobby passion my life not an extra means off income on the rare occasion ive had a litter in the past the price off a pup was a bag off beta puppy to half feed the pups that i keep on the price off "working" pups is getting rediculous its not a pet which you choose purly for looks and both live happily ever after its a worker which may not make the grade so what then in my case pts but allot of people think this dogs cost me a weeks wage i cant justyfy loosing that sort off money i know what ill sell it and try get some m
  3. He owns 5 acres and the dogs have the run of the place, so i think he'd rather get shut of one than cage em. get shut off one it is then
  4. kennel them seperatly is the simplest answer
  5. accidents happen pal get her to the vets for the jab then make sure you keep a closer eye on them. dont get any off them snipped if they make the grade youd only regret it
  6. i personally think bull blood (the right blood) can do the world of good to the working terrier strengthening jaw and structure but i wouldnt like more than an 1/8 maybe stretch to a 1/4 if right, in there cause i belive alot off the time it can do more harm than good. so basiclly you sumed it up in a nuttshell put it in then breed it staight out. its not a project i could do cause ive not got the kennel space, youd have to keep the full litter on off 1/2 crosses just to find the one maybe two that make the grade. if its not broke it cant be fixed
  7. if the bitch is ten years old and had two fits in the same day id take her to the vets but im afraid to say it sounds like the long sleep is required sorry
  8. if your bitch is worthy off a litter and the undershot dog is a good grafter go for it ive never seen an undershot jaw effect a terrier in its work or even in everyday life for that matter if the terriers are more than capable for the job inhand go for it
  9. id prefere to breed a litter out off well proven stock the more seasons under there belt the better but theres allways the chance off missing the boat and regreating it till the end off time at the end off the day it all depends on the individual dog and how it works. and how long is a season me myself am a weekend warrior unfortunattly working all week so the dogs will only get 1/4 off the graft a season than some body whos lucky enougth to get out all week. but at the end off the day the owner knows there dogs and working style so only they can say ive seen dogs jib at 4 or 5 and at the othe
  10. my young lurcher bitch (10 months) has just had her first season (in heat) she has now come out of it but she has become incontenent every time she lays down urine begins to seep till she stand up again there is no sign off infection and she is perfectly happy within her self i just cant think what it could be or wheather its just coinsedence that it has happend just after her season. ive never seen this before so any advice solutions would be great thankyou.
  11. at the moment there probly getting ready to sort out the pecking order but if a actuall hatred occures then it will be there for live try keep them apart and like said earllyer give them plenty of excercise together on the leads to try form a pack enviroment but i would never leave them alone together in the yard thats when problems begin
  12. the ear is possibly down to her teething they can go in all directions while there teeth are coming threw it will more than likely settle with time
  13. weekend before last i did my base for the kennels i used fibre concrete £90 a metre plain concrete being £85 a metre i used 10 metere cubed. i worked ot the cost difference of using flags on the kennel area and there wasnt much init to be honest. ive used flags in the past off all differnt variatys some are better than others but the main problem that you will find with all of them no mater how you lay them over time the urine seeps below them and gets traped and before you know it your going into your garden on a hot summers day and your eyes instantly begin to water from the stench.
  14. the 3/4 greyhound is the better allrounder down to the fact they have more speed but i prefere to use a halfcross to work along the terriers
  15. glad you got youre dog out alright what style do them jagd terriers work like and whats the average height off them
  16. pre ban i always relesed unless requested not to or was bringing on a young lurcher

  18. i had a defender 90 300tdi what a great dog bus go anywhere turn it in a lane the motor was great but ther uncoftable cold wet and cramped but its worth putting up with for the benefits but if you do alot of miles you will struggle i use to feel like id been hit by a defender never mind drove it if i traveled more than 50 miles without stretching my legs and im a wagon driver so im used to driving allday. my boss used to lend me his shogun commercial for long trips and that really is a comfty motor and not lacking on speed neither for a 4x4. it is more than capable off road but couldnt quite g
  19. 1/4 wheton 3/4 greyhound would be my choice if its speed your wanting to add if you use a pure greyhound you may be diluting slightly to much for the quarry you wish to run
  20. its a good idea on paper but the only problem is where would you meet this site covers a large area i wouldnt fancy driving 200 miles to sit in a pub without a pint to drive back again to go digging yes but not to just show my face it is a good idea though just needs a bit more work on it
  21. he just sounds a little uncertain off himself 19 weeks is no age to start worrying about him at least it shows he feels secure around you hell end up making a loyal dog
  22. i can see it being a good thing having a restricted section but what about genuine lads like myself who keep them selves to them selfes who can vouch for some one theyve never met
  23. im currently running a pup on at the moment and im trying my best to wait till shes tweive months she nine months at the moment so hopefuly in july august ill give her a go on some young quarry see how she goes ill be useing her mainly on the lamp. ive in the past been guilty off expecting to much from young dogs so im going to see if this method suits me better. she does seem ready for work lately though she seems to be restless but herself dose not know why fingers crossed this waiting wil work for the better and i wont miss the boat with her
