  1. Heyup mate, @Premier Pistol can modify a BSA FAC version to give you more power, just needs a longer barrel fitting and some tweaks if you go down that route. I like the FX rifles now, but the Daystate Wolverine looks interesting also.. Also check out the FX Boss or save for a Crown !!!
  2. Quad sticks all day long for me, 4x B&Q sticks absolutely solid, no rear stock left floating when taking a shot, light as a feather, cheap as chips... when you want to move lift a leg slightly and swivel round... a lot of people are fans of the primos, not for me personally, but if it works, why change.
  3. I know of 4 other people using them with no issues with other scopes... I will say though eye shine is not as bright as looking though a dedicated unit like a Drone for example.
  4. 4 of my mates are using them with no issues l I'ad avoid the Pulsar front add ons personally. The old ones are offset so it means your POI changes at varying distance not including the normal drop of the bullet. The new ones are inline BUT they are only 1x optical magnification, your scope zooms into the screen display, this just makes the image bigger not better, unlike a rear add on were resolution increases when you increase magnification. There also right at the front of the scope, so you need looooong arms to adjust foucs and being front mounted you can still get POI shi
  5. I’ve got two wards and tried them on at least ten scopes with no issues villaman. No affiliation with ward so , i’m talking from my own experience of them.. not sure what went wrong your side maybe a duff scope ?
  6. Can’t say fairer than that.
  7. The knurled knob doesn’t affect them Phil, just use the right shim and your away .. Having owned an N750 the ward is more versatile and allows full mag range of torch to be used .. there’s a couple going secondhand from £500-650 price range.
  8. Phil buy a ward, honest, or one of Ludicrous Lumens add on systems from Andy. Ideal for your requirement and use.
  9. Yes people fiddling too much can cause issues in this respect with the impact . ASI mentioned this also, there’s a lot of info around the net. I’ll stick with my Royale as it does everything I require , and I got a steal. @Premier Pistol will maybe give more info regarding FX impact issues.
  10. I was tempted by one Phil, they look cracking rifles, only thing that put me off was some of the reliability issues, that people have had, obviously theres good and bad examples.... very tempted by the FX Crown though..BUT in reality its not going to be that much different to my Royale end of the day..
  11. When I first picked it up, I couldn't believe the weight it feels about half the weight of an air arms S400, obviously not, but its well balanced and the aluminium action helps..
  12. This is an FAC version around 9 year old Moxy, it's a great gun. Have had Air Arms and Weirauchs, Theobens, honestly this thing is so lightweight compared to them and its slick, sat at 28ft/lb at the minute, I'm going to turn it ip to around 32ft/lb 33ft/lb . I bought it off someone who got it from Ben Taylor when they first come out, it has the smooth twist barrel and a custom carbon mod, its whisper quiet and I've taken rabbit head shots out to 100yds with no wind .... love it... Only thing I don't like about them is the FX magazines can be a pain, but everything else is great... on average
  13. The FX kitted out with a Trail XQ50 thermal, lethal when ratting and rabbiting.
  14. Phil it will be perfect for your needs, lightweight also and you don't have to dedicate your rifle to night vision, you can wind the mag up as you require.
  15. Phil get a rear mounted add on like a Ward for your existing scope and one of these fitted to a weaver rail attachment http://www.customriflescopes.com/shop.html#!/Weapon-mountable-laser-rangefinder-5-800m-shock-wproof-NV-compatible-MK-V4-1z/p/72132906/category=13698432 I use mine from 15yds to 350yd shots, either with solaris laser for air rifle/rimfire/hmr or Dragonfly laser on the .223/.243.
  16. Cliff, I'm not being funny but the ATN products are guff in terms of NV and design. Phil I will post some videos showing some setups later in the week.
  17. Just bought some more 40gr vmax for the .223 at £21 a box
  18. Pulsars have various reticules on the dedicated units with hold over points, also the yukon. So you can just put targets at various ranges and see how they relate to the units reticule which should never change as its a fixed magnification unless you change the pellet/bullet type or power your using.. I use a rear NV add on, on a ray scope with separate rangefinder so I can utilise the scopes hold over points I already know.. Although I have put a Trail XQ50 on my FAC FX royale now, pretty deadly on the rats!!

    New layout

Topic closed, how do people have so much time to talk shite..
  20. I wanted something with a better BC than the 40gr vmax to try, I'd read some bad feedback about the 53gr vmax so opted for the 52gr Amax as there just as explosive.. think I ended up with a 1000 at £22.80 100
  21. Anyone stocked up before the price rise recently, Hornady ammo has increased by quite a margin, I managed to stock up on plenty of Vmax and Amax for the .22 hornet, .223 and .243 to last me a good while...some of them have gone up by 30%
  22. Not at all Phil, the Ward uses a prism system to reduce the length of the unit allowing the camera to focus at a shorter distance. What this means is your head is in exactly the same position as when you look through the scope normally, unlike other add ons which add more length i.e archers, envis, other digital add ons, etc Also what you can do is still use your scopes reticule system, millet, ladder, etc What I do with my FAC airgun is leave it on 10x mag so I know the reticule ranges for varying distances, then I use one of custom rifle scope rangefinders, these are excellent for airg
  23. Keep saving Deano, buy once, cry once...
  24. The ATN X-Site units are crap, laggy with NV, eat batteries, and have rubbish mounts.. 100% keep your existing day scope, buy a Ward 700/800 and get a decent IR torch, for your job something like a solaris, job done..
