My son's just shown me a video that a guy called Jason nota put up. About Afghanistans over here and it's worrying. My youngest lad was saying that the school before he left did some kind of drill. What this guy's saying on FB is worrying. Ment too be happening in September. If true we best get ready.

Couple of reasons mate, first off they are freezing in the winter and with the damp climate on the west coast they deteriorate like f**k. Second, IF I did want one (I bought a really nice one for my mum when we fist moved over) they are a pure pain in the arse to get up my lane and into my gaff….. It was a nightmare getting my mums one in and a pure nightmare getting it out again when I sold it. Been there, done that, not practical boss.

The experience I've had was with an ex marine and I'd say with confidence he had the best work ethic of anyone I've met in my current industry and they lost him over a quid an hour's worth three of the rest all day....

Most people seem to have 1 of these so I'm a bit late to the party but got 1 yesterday. Mostly cook for 1 these days and getting a bit lazy, fresh veg = too many pots and cleaning etc. Chips tend to be oven ready, a blasphemous thing to say on here I know. Purchased to give the home made chips thing a try as can no longer be bothered with deep fryer and chucked the chip pan out years ago due to H&S. Fresh veg without all the pans would be a bonus. Tried air frying sausages yesterday, good quality sausages. They were definitely cooked and edible but without the lovely sausaginess that

You guys with young dogs should watch this video.
-
Cheers , but in my world I'm not , plus my eyes have gone to shit along with my confidence to travel the country doing weld tests, it's a young guys game , but I can stick metal together, also my supervisor who is a kid mind , blows smoke up my ass as you put it because many in my game are bloody hopeless, I hope to bring on a youngster in a few years so the Germans and poles don't think we're all feck wits...We've had multiple generations of useless wankers bringing on youngsters it's no wonder we can't manage up UK jobs . Anyway I've some rusty box to grind , pics to follow....

Well I’ve ready the below books and can recommend them all if you’ve more than a passing interest in the topic. loyalists by Peter Taylor , If your interested in that aspect of it , heavy paramilitary leaning . A mirror book to Taylor’s republican book. the people with no name by Patrick griffin, a very scholarly book , i got mine from the British library in London when I was working there , ( don’t ask ) get it for 25 quid eBay , a good read and the title is taken from the fact that in America they were labelled as Irish , when they have struggled to not be Irish , most of their

I'm not judging anybody just jesting. Sometimes sport went out of the window when times were tough. A fella I knew used to poach pheasants and throw the metal wing tabs out of the car window outside the keeper's cottage. Just for spite. Disgraceful! OK it was me.

The other thread got me thinking about lamping motors, what I’ve had, what I’d like, and what I’d like but would be totally ridiculous ! A Range Rover I had in Saudi; Great out there but not much good here at around 11 mpg ! A pick up I seen in the Middle East; Bit of a giveaway if you’re poaching ! My dream pick up, fastest pick up around Nurburgring, but maybe lacking a bit of ground clearance for dog work ? The yanks use these for coyote hunting, but maybe a bit overkill for here in the UK ? This one certainly looks the part though

The linner ferret, in the days before the knocker boxes. My old man used to use them if the gills had killed in. Pop them in the Warren they would shift the gills off there kill you would then dig and follow the line to the hob on the end and the kill. Ideal in shallow Warren's.
