  7. Perhaps if the same consultant and others like him who work for the NHS weren’t moonlighting in private practice, concentrated on there NHS day jobs the waiting lists wouldn’t be so long ? Just a thought. I hope your wife makes a speedy and full recovery Cheers.

My wife has been in hospital for a couple of days with severe abdominal pain, now they think they know what it is but need to do an investigative procedure, so she’s put on the list, estimated time for this to be done is 15 months, now she can’t be in this amount of pain for over a year so we looked at private, we have now got a pre assessment next Wednesday with the same consultant that would be doing it on the NHS and the procedure to be done in around 3 weeks at a cost of around 6k, now we are lucky to be in a position to go private but how many other people are suffering for years before a
