an old freind of mines one the cambridge cup , he was a handy dog so was the brother , bred simliar to these dogs you are talking about bred him to mines and produced good dogs ,chuk and rock were there name both good hare dogs

she was stole from russ stick bought her at 10 mounth old from another lad who had bought her not noing she was stolen at the time i think he offered the bitch back to russ for the money he paid for her it ended up stick buying her he was the one that matched her and bread from her and stolen off him

Do folks think around this time was the golden era of coursing

By that I mean the freedom and lack of chew .

Arguably better dogs came along a bit later

But these lads and dogs were the start of many great lines.

times were better by 100% in my opinion

I don't know about more sporting apart from the forley type comps back then were as you know law was law but there was a lot of kick up outside of those comps wasn't there, I think your right to say tho there wasn't as many nobs in the game as what there is now tho..
