  1. Glad to hear it mate and people are starting at last to realise people like us are right and always have been and the pro immigration looneys are becoming the minority amongst ordinary folk.
  2. Same here mate though I think a lot of it is down to my age but I just can't stand to be around loud noisy people especially those fuelled with cocaine and alcohol. A few old mates often say to me get thi sen down to the county Borough a rough pub in Rotherham as its cheap beer and the regulars call it the zoo. I remember a tale about the place some year's ago were some one from out of town visited the place and after downing a few pints fell asleep in the pub to wake up minus his trainers .
  3. Looks like Ireland is getting the backlash from the Rwanda policy with illegal migrants making their way to your country mate from the UK. I wish your people all the best in rising up against this influx from the UK and imho your country needs to free itself from the shackles of being a member of the European Union.
  4. Reminds me of when some mates came up from London one you know well mate who i have mentioned before and a couple of his brother's and we went to have a drink in a pub in Mexborough to see some other dog lads one called Barney who had a few bulldogs and the local hard man and a few of his mates came up to one of us at the bar and started being a clever feker within a short time the place looked like an heard of elephant's had gone through the gaff with a few of the local idiots wishing they had been more respectful lol. I heard a wile after from a local to the area that these clowns had heard
  5. Never had or wore a pair mate. I suppose what they were intended for and that was working on riggs out at sea were they could be kicked off easily if one was to fall in the sea they had their purpose but seeing some one driving a fork truck in a pair I found amusing. Lol
  6. Used to make me laugh when I worked on building sites and demolition lads who wore rigger boots and were for ever taking them off to empty shite that had fell down them.
  7. Same here mate and the Hanwags I bought back in November I can't rest until I have washed the mud off them after a walk out.lol
  8. Found these a decent hard wearing boot and comfortable. Don't know if you can get them in the USA a company called scruffs sell them.
  9. I just go on the step counter on my watch. I think it's just curiosity with me on how many miles i walk now days when years ago tramping over the moors with a couple of lurchers or lamping all night it never crossed my mind how many miles i must have covered on a day or night out.
  10. It was mate and thankfully it's something they can't take away from us though I know those of us from the 70s onwards were fortunate to have the best decades as far as lurchers and hunting with them. I know some of us older generation tend to reminisce a bit about the past but to me it was a good time for hunting with lurchers that was a big part of our lives.
  11. I can honestly say I don't think there will ever be characters like MD in this changing world and country.
  12. Great thread is this and Systema thanks for sharing your stories of a man who will go down in history as a legend of the past lurcher world. I think just by the look of the types MD kept they had an influence on some of the legendary hare catching lurchers that we have seen over the years. A few pics I have found of a bitch bought directly off MD by a lad from Sheffield in the 80s and some pup's out of her when she was put to a 3 quarter greyhound saluki called Nero from Eckington nr Sheffield in the 80s and was by all accounts a decent dog.
  13. I would be lying if I said I was not envious.
  14. Starting to see more red kites around me the last couple of year's probably descended from the red kite breeding program they did at Harewood house nr Leeds i believe some year's ago. Buzzards have been quite common around me for a few year's now i often wonder if they are detrimental to the brown hare population preying on small leveretts as their is no longer a healthy rabbit population. I would think that red kites are not as detrimental to other species than the buzzard is that i have heard can be a bit of a pain around release pen's and such like.
  15. Thing is mate i am hitting targets when having a few shots practicing. On a positive note i backtracked my walk i had yesterday this morning and found my wasp wolf.
  16. Again this morning a few easy shots and missed and to top it all got home and some how i have lost my wolf wasp wile out ffs.lol
  17. Might have to try it myself mate as I am having a bad patch with accuracy at the moment missing easy shots at squirrels and pigeons and also having two fork hits on one of my favourite frames the wasp wolf.
  18. They probably know same as us that thousands of them will not be deported to Rwanda if they enter this country illegally and labour are going to scrap the Rwanda plan when they get in.
  19. Big business = Government or the main political party's that's why nothing will ever be done about it.
  20. As much as I despise illegal invaders to our country and Muslims in general what I have noticed a few times this week after walking through the town of Rotherham and up at its hospital a few times the amount of African and Indian's all either at work or on their way to work wile seeing plenty British of working age begging and scrounging in shop door ways and approaching people in the street for money. I think till we get our own house in order mass immigration will continue.
  21. Those that don't pander what in some parts are a Muslim minority as well as schools they want prayer rooms in the workplace.
  22. Bit of a bullshitter as well by all accounts from lads in the coursing game a few years back.
  23. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=20dba950968da4b9JmltdHM9MTcxMzM5ODQwMCZpZ3VpZD0wZDFhY2VkMC0xNDYwLTZjZjAtMjNhNy1kZDc0MTUxNzZkNDAmaW5zaWQ9NTMwMg&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=3&fclid=0d1aced0-1460-6cf0-23a7-dd7415176d40&psq=teacher+bans+preyar+in+her+school&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubmV3c3RhdGVzbWFuLmNvbS9jb21tZW50LzIwMjQvMDQvbWljaGFlbGEtc2Nob29sLWJhbi1wcmF5ZXItcnVsaW5nLWthdGhhcmluZS1iaXJiYWxzaW5naA&ntb=1 The country needs more teachers like her IMHO
  24. That's not good mate. Like i said in my previous post some of the hammer these flask took when they first came out in the 80s and lads had them down the pit and i think the only way you could have destroyed one was to run over it with a dosco or an aimco bucket.
