Apart from my old milbro I've only ever used home made cattys ,mr Wilkes . Would you say modern style forks have improved your aim or the form of practice.

Acorns are another good practice ammo , I've always found adults tend to overthink a situation unlike children who seem to be more relaxed in the same situation. Having read this forum for a time now it got me thinking about how I myself aim . And to be honest I don't think I do, the only thing that runs true with every shot is the position of the stick hand in relation to the pouch hand , be it above the head or below the waist . When rat shooting most shots are snap shots as it's mostly at rats on the hoof that afford little or no time for aiming and thinking , when it feels right "release

Spent a couple of hours inside a skip as a hide .first with the blackthorn stick, gold band + marbles . Not the ideal choice for rats but spot on for pigeons. Then out with the rat stopper for the last hour.

All done on a tip face (indoor) and anything from in front of my face up to 35yrd ish .

Any charges made have now being dropped with no case to be answered to. Turns out they took a third party's dog by mistake though it's whereabouts is still as yet unknown alive/dead. So yet again a total Phuk up again on their part ...at what cost.... Report was made in and around 10th March from a local man with knowledge of my activity.

And there's me thinking dawn raid issues were a thing of the past !!!!!!!! A bit of extra help with the kennels early doors 14 policemen ...5 rspca officers...2 vets and a camara crew too boot. All dogs with a clean bill of health , even commended on my kennel management . Permission slips and proof of treatment by a vet provided they were content there was nothing to answer to here and left rather unhappy. However my mate was not so fortunate and is now sleeping on a cold bench and his dog destroyed. The lowest of the low is the informer Atb th.

I've never noticed the numbers drop to be honest, there's probably more born in a day than I kill in a month.
