I think his fame rose with the event of the video recorder in the 80s as that was the first time i had heard of him renting the films he starred in from shops renting tapes out . One film he stared in that i remember was Lone wolf McQuaid. RIP Chuck Norris.

Remember a series in the late 70s that was compulsive viewing with dubbed oriental characters in it can't remember the name though one was called monkey as he he looked like a well known local character.

Bruce Lee was supposed to take the lead part in Kung Fu but the producers said he looked “too Chinese” so gave the part to Carradine
