Two hick cowboys fool the world.....

Recommended Posts

Remember watching that original shaky footage on ‘Arthur C Clarke’s Mysterious World’ as a wide eyed kid, totally believing it was real. I thought it had been debunked by one of the family or a deathbed confession years ago, or maybe that was something else. Watching it now it’s actually laughable, I’ve seen more convincing ‘UK big cat’ clips.

The fairies were the cottingley fairies.

Yes,people really believed, you could until fairly recently buy 2'nd generation casts of Bluff Creek bigfoot prints for just over $1000 but I think that market will dry up quickly, academics and professors all believed, one actually spoke of the thigh hernia of the creature, the guy in the suit said it was the bulge of his wallet in his trouser pocket.I was near Bluff Creek last year, lots of sasquatch stuff in the general area.

This is professor jeff Meldrum anthropologist and anatomist on the footage (he was suckered as well, his lifes work crumbled).

Half the thing wrong with America is that they just do not have a generation of young men who can sit in a pub and say “here , can you believe that stupid brother of mine thinks there’s a half man half gorilla walking about in kielder ?”

This is a typical example of heard mentality for 60 years that video was debated and examined by many with different outcomes now a grainy version zoomed in and out pixelated to f**k is conclusive proof and the80 percent are all over it as conclusive lol it’s no more conclusive than the original, all it proves is how easy the 80 percent are to direct deceive and manipulate ah stiffy 😂 😭😭😭😭

I’m not even going to compare the big cat theory as as much as I come across obtuse about it mate , there’s still a chance.

They fairies were obviously cut outs yet even supposedly clever people wanted to believe or at least were too proud to admit being fooled  .

It's a bit like Piltdown Man ,AKA the Missing link between Man and Ape ; discovered in Sussex of all places .  A human skull cobbled up to bits of an orangutan jaw .The perpetrator  of the fraud had form for fake historical finds ( including passing-off cheap Greek and Italian tourist trinkets as antiquities and the discovery of a stone age cricket bat!) yet was still believed by fellow amateur archaeologists and a few supposed experts and those who really just wanted to believe .

Others in the field weren't  convinced from the start but could only express private doubts due to the number of prominent figures who supported the claim.

Basically only when this  cadre of prominent figures who didn't  want to lose face by admitting  their gullibility had died out  was the fakery officially declared .

i think sir Arthur Conan Doyle was one that showed a lot of interest in the Cottingley fairies but he also believed in those Victorian ectoplasm photos that were ment to show spirits
