Quite laid back for a big city, but a real old world feeling, lots of Mexican and Native American archives, old Soamish feel etc... the Old Town is history rich, really worth a walk around, a few too many "tat" shops, but loads of original indian work, had a good yap with an Indian who made jewelery, was from the Hopi tribe, explained to me the old battle with Spanish settlers that the Indians won and took.the horses, 1700s, this was the start of the indian horses they breed.. We done a long drive yesterday, it was great though...bit if a chill today, then heading north west to Monument Valley, the scene where Forest gump stops running on that road made it quite famous, but its a huge state park with aome amaxing scenery, makes for a short run into Grand Canyon abd we may do a night in Las Vegas, not sure that's really my thing, but we're passing by after all lol... We're already planning the next trip, do different states, but in the same way... as I've said lots on thos thread, the people are making it everywhere we go.. . Being British here goes a long way, but as always, if you treat abd talk to people properly it's amazing what you get back.... Chilling ion my own n a surprise hot tub in the grounds of this bnb, just over £100 for the night including breakfast and the place is stunning lol Sounds like your seeing real america! Ill have to fish the comp this year to hear your trip first hand ! Keep enjoying the trip and a safe journey home !
