Yeh they used to be great fun....

I've also worked loads of them doing security...we used to do all the Christmas doo's in the hotels....my God they were fun...as a young bloke in my late 20's....let's just say it was easy pickings and we made a fuss....

The best of the lot was a large national chain of Hairdressers....they had the hole hotel to themselves 1000 young women

Fortunately,  when I was working the doors , I set myself a very high moral bar , and never ever took advantage of the opportunities . Honest .

I was invited to the races for work do , thought about it but I spend enough time with guys on site, plus most of these lot are on the books and hate subbys . I'd more likely meet up with a mate or two over Christmas, got a fishing session planned and another friend normally pops over New year's. Feck work lol

I used to work with a fantastic gang of lads .  Proper grafters , that you could have a laugh with , and trust with your life. These days I mainly work with a bunch of gobshites , that'll happily stab you in the back for f**k all but a pat on the head from a manager.

Only few of us here that do any regular graft an then farmer who owns the lot and another is his son who about to take over, leaves me and another lad plus a mechanic an a fitter who gets invited out for crimbo, it’s generally a real good night with no expense spared by farmer, and even with it as good as that I still have to talk myself into going haha getting old is seriously unsociable haha

I’ve never been to a Christmas party as I have always loathed “collective fun” of any description !…….cant imagine anything I’d rather do less, same any pre arranged type gathering where everyone is “meant to” enjoy themselves and “celebrate” something or the other, I find myself hating everyone within minutes of my arrival for no apparent reason ! 
 

So, after that cheerful little thought, merry Christmas lads ! lol

Christmas party season is a young man’s game I really enjoy the Christmas period hounds out most days loads of digging plenty of drink and loads of family time. Last Christmas party I attended I was there as more of a tag along but I remember about 12 young lads killing each other full of drink it warmed the heart to see it
