Caithness?Sutherland?

He has lived up in Caithness. But he's in tropical Perth and Kinross now.

He's a hit man. His latest target is a defective Jock. Scotty or Snotty ?

His mission is to rob him of oxygen, he's a pest.

I've asked him if I can go along and enjoy the hunt. I've put in a special request that he deals death slowly.

Buy at 30000 miles or 3 years old. That way you benefit from most of the depreciation. So I was told anyway.

Just out of interest,I looked how much I would get for the wife's 67 plate Octavia vrs estate with a company called motorway...I payed 21 k for it at 2 years old with 11,000 on the clock...it's just done 70,000 ,all main dealer stamped etc....and I've been offered almost 12 k for it,which surprised me tbh... certain models  like estates/shooting brakes seem to hold their money better than the saloons etc👍

They should remove the licence of drivers of 65+ and protect our tiny little roads and give them all a pass for free public transport. Those desperate to keep on driving should sit a 6 monthly welfare fit to drive test. Would free up the congestion on the roads and make them safer

A much fairer way to do it , and way that might actually improve road safety . Is that everyone should take a re test , every 12 months . One afternoon per year wouldn't be an issue for anyone that's a decent driver.

Biggest a car I ever owned was me old a6 allroad estate, an also by far best motor, was expensive to run but i justified it cos the car was an absolute pleasure to drive an be in

crappest car also the smallest, Citroen c3, turned to a coke can at 40mph collision, not a chance I’d let my kids have summat that small once they pass tests, not a Fcuking hole in hell

ingot a Volvo here now, that I’m using whilst daughter passes her test an she can have this an then I’m goin back audi

After 70 , we have to renew our license every three years. It’s no big deal, 10 minutes on line, don’t have to prove anything. Just this week renewed mine for the second time, so I’m good ‘till I’m 76.

Cant see the point in it really, but I have regular medicals , hearing and eye tests sand I think I’ll know when to give up driving.

Cheers.

I would reckon only 10% of people would pass. I've been driving well over 50 years and roads have changed beyond recognition in that time.

I had to go on a speed awareness course a few years back. People's ignorance of the Highway Code, including my own, was scary.

I have always drive 4x4 . When i lived in America ,my first  and only  car was a 1979 cadillac coup deville , 2 door and it was 7.8 liter v8 . It had a  bench seat front and back . The  last 4x4 i had was a 1995 ford f350 ,single cab . It was 5.8 liter . America makes big, powerful and comfortable pickups , but they tend to be unreliable .

That's a good reason why people should get re tested. Things change , and you have to change with them , or you become a liability on the road.

If I was prime minister, the first thing I'd do , is make every new driver have six months on a moped. Before they got behind the wheel of a car .

It would teach people road manners , and respect for other road users , whilst learning how things work.

If folks understood how vulnerable pedestrians,  and other road users were . They might not drive like complete fuckwits.

I'd also make it law that drivers that just stop on a busy high street , and do a 5 point u turn , would get an instant punch to the head.😁

Good points mate but I just want all the old codgers off the road there a liability at the best of times most should be retired at 65/67 or whatever plenty time on their hands to travel with public transport and for free it’s a win win alround
