Penda 3,422 Posted Friday at 10:20 Report Share Posted Friday at 10:20 2 hours ago, gunter said: Well tbh ino what your saying but dog catching any animal Is worth it's weight in gold fox hare deer even a rabbit dog that can run all night at the end of the day there's dogs for jobs your are hare boy to me getting 2 or 3 hounds and them hunting a fox into a hole is my sport and there's no better buzz then I get then lifting a fox and a little pack of hounds hunting him hard Some of the best foxes dogs I had and witnessed weren't always the biggest and weren't always the gamest some just had a knack of getting the job done now to me there a difference between a dog that can go on killing multiple number day in day out night in night out some dogs will not work sore some don't care and for the people who say my dog don't get bit you ain't doing enough I used to live digging foxes one of my favour thing was hunting old raynard I had nothing but respect for them some of things I've saw them do over the years and yes to see a terrier working 1 in the ground is a different thing altogether to lurcher work baring in mind that no 2 terriers in my mind will work the same and every body wants them for different jobs I had a red bitch bred off decent stuff for me she was a good foxing bitch she'd bay away until she knew I was about a foot or 2 off her they she would lay into them last dig I had to her was on a vixen on an Easter Saturday i hadn't really had her out for a while for 1 reason or another tried my luck on this spot 1.5 on the box through a concrete slab only had grafter had to dig round it any way the bitch had took some stick as vicky was on a ledge and had cubs in pit literally hammered my bitches top plat straight to the bone that bitch never let up once I got fox out I remember carrying that bitch all the way home sorted her out then I decided for another reason I'd better stop the digging game gave her to my pal up north he loved the bitch did him proud til she had to be put to sleep things like that are what make you realise the dogs in a rough situation but they give there all I do miss them day i still walk by them earths now and wish I still had a terrier to work but then I think of the hassle and glad I've got a spring to scare stuff 2 1 Quote Link to post
